Chandler Eli Getty Carr @gettyscience.bsky.social · 05/03/2026Found this wonderful (and goofy) pic of some of the authors (CEGC, KRS, KB) and a student who helped in collection (El Mayle) checking out the Chicago Bean before a conference! 🧠🧪🎨 Wouldn't have been able to do this project without any of 'em! 000
Chandler Eli Getty Carr @gettyscience.bsky.social · 04/03/2026This study adds to previous research that shows the cognitive effect that the environments we work and study in can have! So... maybe think about adding that plant to your desk. 🌿 Hope you enjoy! 010
Chandler Eli Getty Carr @gettyscience.bsky.social · 22/01/2026That's the conversation that gets increasingly harder to have since this administration ignores the law. Following the law is good, but maybe the law also sucks. As @codyjohnston.bsky.social once said: 000

Chandler Eli Getty Carr @gettyscience.bsky.social · 06/06/2025I have a funny "curse" where I seem unable to ever catch the males in sexually dimorphic species. I honestly find the subtle coloring of females more striking and interesting. 1100

Chandler Eli Getty Carr @gettyscience.bsky.social · 14/03/2024As expected, the female builder was highly repeatable in the construction of the cup lining between nesting attempts! However, it was the identity and dimensions of the box cavity that explained the structure of the nest. (significance indicated by wren or box drawing) 110
Chandler Eli Getty Carr @gettyscience.bsky.social · 14/03/2024We measured and dissected over 100 nests to examine differences in dimensions and material counts. Nests were just as variable as we expected! One nest contained nearly 1500 sticks while another contained less than 200! 100
Chandler Eli Getty Carr @gettyscience.bsky.social · 14/03/2024During my first research experience, I noticed that house wren nests are remarkably variable! I became determined to understand why this variability existed and wondered if birds are ever repeatable in the structure and make-up of their nests. 100
