There's also the bullshit $90 Medicare bonus, overriding Congress's $2B expenditure to upgrade the system. Here's part of the email.

CONGRESS provided $2B to make improvements to the Medicare program for Americans enrolled in traditional Medicare. F*ck this guy for overruling Congress to send out a measly $90 to enrollees instead of improving the entire system as Congress, our representatives!, voted to do. @sssamn.bsky.social

"Congress provided 2 Billion Dollars to make improvements to the Medicare program for Americans enrolled in traditional Medicare. I believe the best way to do that is to put healthcare dollars back where they belong—directly in the hands of the American People."

"As a result, you are receiving a One-Time Payment of $90 to offset some of the cost of your October Medicare premium. This will ensure these funds benefit YOU and your individual healthcare needs."

So - not better website and phone access and whatever else.

Fuck that guy.

And still, we may all essentially agree now about anything and in 100 years our decedents are appalled by our inhumanity and naivete. Logics change; we live by what makes sense individually and collectively in our lifetimes.

01/ Don't care how important you (think you) are. 4:30 minutes of ads at the start of a podcast would make it unlistenable if my player didn't have a fast forward feature. 02/ Ads blasted across multiple podcasts and videos are beyond annoying. Instant ignore.

FOCUS If you're going to lose an opportunity or fail, do it doing something you actually wanted and learn from that. Feeling like shit over a loss that would not have been meaningful if you had won is just symbolic. Possibly an ego boost; nothing more.

Here's the deal. How can we ever be certain about anything when one total certainty has fallen out. I would add: shouldn't we always be a little uncertain and get comfortable with that. Because that's adaptiveness, baby. www.nytimes.com/2026/09/23/p...
