Around 110 nishikigoi carp were released into the moat of Hiroshima Castle, aka Carp Castle, on Oct. 5. 🎏 Konishi Koi Farm in Nishi Ward has donated over 1,500 koi since 2018 and feeds them twice a week. Koi can't breed in the moat, so the farm keeps restocking it. #HiroshimaNews

Kure resident defrauded of about ¥25.7m in a fake police scam. A fake postal worker passed the victim on to fake "Osaka police", who said the victim was a fraud suspect. The victim then sent ¥7.59m in crypto and ¥18.1m in cash to "protect" their savings. #HiroshimaCrimeReport

Groping arrests: 48-year-old man in Hiroshima City, Aug. 21. 53-year-old man at a supermarket in Kure, Aug. 25. 61-year-old man at a Pachinko Parlor in Saijo, Sept. 30. It seems that if only the upper body of a victim is groped, the offense is classified as "nuisance" rather than "indecent assault."
