Right, I was gonna say I'd skip streaming yesterday due to Life Stuff making me tired, but...I was tired LOL. Next week, for sure!

So I ended up streaming Control Resonant for just under 6 hours...God this game's amazing. I can't stop myself from playing off-stream, I'll need to find something else to fill the slot for next week..Maybe Heat Signature?

For those you don't know how this works, when a video gets copyright claimed, 100% of its revenue starts going to the claimant. The only way for a claim to be automatically removed is to trim out the claimed clip, obviously bad if the clip has original narration over it. Songs have to be muted. -R

Yeah, fraudulent copyright claims are such second nature to us Youtubers that it's easy to forget that the average viewer only knows that UMG is a blight upon the universe. And quartz, of course

I promised myself that I'd get my streaming setup halfway decent in time to stream Control Resonant on the day, but I dunno if I can stream my whole playthrough. I just KNOW I'm gonna binge that game. Anyway, tune in tomorrow on Twitch to see my restraint erode on live camera, I guess!

Issue: Sweatpants too comfy, brain thinks they're pajamas and goes sleepy mode.

Played through the Red Strings Club again after forgetting most of it, and it's still got me feeling things I can't fully express. Only issue is that I could do without unearthing a trans woman's deadname as part of the password of someone obsessed with her. Didn't feel particularly necessary.

Right, I should probably make a post about this: I'm gonna be streaming at twitch.tv/gerratgaming on Thursday 17th, 7PM EDT! I wanna make sure things are working well enough for something I'm very excited for next week. #vtuber #vtuberuprising

Two weeks until the deadline I gave myself to start streaming in earnest, and it simultaneously feels within reach and almost overwhelming. I started doing this to teach myself skills I wanted to use in other projects, but somehow those long-planned ideas feel like mere whims.

Sometimes I worry about the rare long sentence, and then I remember all the stuff I read back in my Victorian Gothic course. The main thing is to make it worth the length, which I hope I'm doing.

Poking through the Internet Archive again, and I found a fun guitar cover of Girl From Ipanema, originally uploaded to a now defunct site and sung by someone who'd fit right in a 2000s era rock band. I won't be using it, but I wanted to share it here: archive.org/details/acidplanet-audio-00628275

I ordered a crepe delivery from a place a block away from mine because I'm sick, and didn't notice that the delivery's gonna happen at 6PM. I want to be mad at the delivery service for letting me make this foolish mistake instead of reflecting on my own sins.

A friend pointed me to the Internet Archive for royalty-free music recordings, which is something I thought have thought about earlier. I'll be spending the evening going through the archive and replacing audio I want to use, hopefully that'll get Youtube off my case.

Thoughts on #Denshattack: Ridiculously good. Feels a bit weird how they chose a form of transport that benefits heavily from automation to tell a story about personal expression, but the results are awesome and the story makes it very clear that the problem is about an utter lack of human oversight.

Was an hour or so early to the restaurant I wanted to go to, so I poked my head into the record shop across the street and bought a CD from a local jazz group. The album's called Hip Flask, and I can't find a band name, but Roger Manins seems to be the focus of the cited reviews.

After some testing, I found that specifically Paul Desmond's O Gato is what stops it from being seen in Russia. The fact that Duke Ellington's Caravan, a song first composed almost a century ago and performed countless times by countless artists, gets me a potential copyright flag is ridiculous.

Set up some OBS scenes with temporary 'art', which was pretty easy. What's annoying is that apparently UMG has automatically made a content claim on the UNLISTED video I posted for testing despite using nothing but jazz standards and classic bossa nova tracks.

So I was looking up recordings of Christopher Lee to practice something, and I found out he does audiobook readings of gothic and Agatha Christie novels???

I gotta say, the current online situation with music copyright has been doing wonders for my interest in classical music and jazz. Hopefully I'll have a chance to share newfound (old-found?) favourites with people.

My potentially-bad habit of ordering two deliveries from the same website has borne the wonderful fruit of both deliveries being picked up by the same driver. I will never be punished for my antics and I will live forever.

So it turns out I don't know the difference between a calzone and a quesadilla when ordering food last night. I know better now, but if I ever make this mistake again, I'll never forgive myself.

How do people post on these websites so consistently? I'm lucky to remember this site exists, let alone feel like I have something to say.

I've been developing a bad habit of ordering deliveries from two different places and watching them to see what happens. Does the later one manage to arrive first? Will there be a meet cute? Perhaps my street will have an impressive amount of traffic for the ungodly hour, impeding everyone involved?

Blue Prince is a special kind of game to invoke such visceral feelings of serious contemplation, slow-cooked resentment and spite-fueled satisfaction after a sudden revelation, all directed towards a board game piece. I'm on to you, magnificent bastard that you are.
