Don't try manually changing the graphics API to Vulkan if you're on Linux. It defaults to DirectX 12 anyway, but I figured native Vulkan might alleviate some Proton translation overhead, but changing to Vulkan stops the game from launching and I had to manually go find and delete its config file.

Just an FYI, Dragonwilds can be played offline. Oh and it ships with a #SteamDeck graphics preset that looks and runs fine in handheld mode. Not sure how it would look docked, but that's what the big PC is for anyway.

So in #DarkSouls 3 there are some undead enemies that will cover you in leeches that cause continuous buildup of bleed damage. Spells or items that stop bleed will remove them, but I don't think they come off on their own. I tried rolling around and everything. #Gaming

I like the new #Firefox interface, but how does it STILL not support creating web app shortcuts in your applications menu, like literally every other browser? This is our living room HTPC; most of those icons are not "apps", they're single site Brave shortcuts.

I didn't catch which one, but one of the recent updates to #Bazzite added the FSR4 environment variable globally, so as long as you're using a compatible Proton version, you no longer have to set a custom launch argument for FSR4 to be available in games. #Gaming #PCGaming

So like Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 3 does not sync your save data to the #Steam cloud. So if you, like me, have both a desktop and a Steam Deck, you either need to pick one to exclusively play this game on, or set up your own external save data syncing mechanism. #Gaming #PCGaming #DarkSouls

Just started playing #DarkSouls 3 and these guys sort of get overtaken by these giant oil snake things and become kind of a pain. But if you kill them really fast you can prevent it from happening by just killing the regular enemy before they get buffed by the transformation. #Gaming

On my 2nd play thru so I can try the new Idus Knight, and I caught an item description that said healing works against undead, so I decided to try it on this revenant. Sure enough, at level 60 with only 12 faith it's a one shot stagger and does loads of damage. #EldenRing #Gaming

But, I just played a couple rounds of Beat Saber using the WiVRn flatpak in gaming mode on my Bazzite PC, and the WiVRn app on the Quest 2, and it seems to work flawlessly.

So I'm trialing #WiVRn to do #VR #gaming on my Oculus Quest 2 headset. #Steam Link on the quest hitches and stutters horribly. Even just bringing up the Oculus menu to move my play boundary lags like crazy when SteamVR is running.

TIL #SonicRacingCrossworlds can't be played offline. I drove a field trip for the grade school so I took my #SteamDeck to occupy my time while I waited. I just wanted to knock out some single player Grand Prix races, but apparently even that requires internet access. #Gaming #PCGaming

So Bluesky seems to cap video uploads to 30fps. That's fine, and makes sense from a storage standpoint, but it does make video gameplay footage look a little worse.

Mizuki is so good. He's a solid healer that can cast heals around corners as long as you can get eyes on "somebody" for a split second. I regularly crack 10k healing with him. But he can also dish out a little dps if he's got people behind him for support. #Overwatch #Gaming

Not only do they hurt a lot worse than honeybees, but they're aggressive and stinging doesn't hurt or kill them, so they'll latch on and bite and sting multiple times over and over until you get away from them and get them off you.

At first I didn't realize it was yellow jackets, only one had found me at that point. I thought I'd hit a rock and it flew and hit me, but it kept getting hotter and hurting worse, then the culprit started dive bombing me looking for more opportunities to sting me.
