Hello! Long time no post. 🌸 Here's some new work from my residency at the Mokuhanga School in Karuizawa, Japan. This woodblock print features the sumo referee's 'gunbai' fan combined with peonies, my favourite flower. Signed limited edition of 10. www.geridrawsjapan.com/art-prints-m...

Hi new followers! 👋 I'm Geri—an illustrator and sumo-obsessed Japan lover living in the UK. I run a shop called GeriDrawsJapan.com and do illustration for a variety of clients with a focus on kids' books, websites, and more. I'm also accepting a couple of more pre-holiday commissions! hellogeri.com

Two enamel pins depicting the Japanese lucky cat—one in black, one in white with gold trim.

A framed print of a snowy Japanese mountain scene reminiscent of a woodblock print, with snow monkeys bathing in the foreground.

A Christmas card featuring a Japanese tanuki raccoon-dog wearing a Santa hat and holding a green sack. Two golden baubles sit at his feet.

A blonde woman (me!) wearing a denim kimono with a light brown and beige obi belt. The background is a British street corner with a blue iron lamppost.

I’m sending artwork off to the manufacturer tomorrow, so if anyone is still interested in pre-ordering anything from my Holiday shop, it would be so helpful to order soon 😊 I make Japanese-themed Christmas ornaments, greeting cards and more! www.geridrawsjapan.com/holiday-shop #japan #illustration

My Halloween costume is pretty niche, but I’m basically a middle-aged Japanese sumo fan who would bodycheck a gaijin for a selfie with her favourite sumo wrestler. #japan #sumo #halloween

Sorry to dip in here and post about work right away, but I am taking new work on at the moment if anyone needs anything (both personal and commercial)! I've been doing a lot of personal commissions like these lately, and am happy to fit in some more before Christmas 😊 hellogeri.com

Some new items available for pre-order in my shop—including my 2024 Japanese Christmas ornament featuring the beautiful island of Itsukushima (Miyajima)! Ships worldwide from November 28. Reposts hugely appreciated! 🙏 #japan #art #illustration www.geridrawsjapan.com/holiday-shop

A mocked up image depicting a wooden Christmas tree ornament. The ornament features an illustration of a sunset on the island of Miyajima, Japan, with fresh snow piled up on the red torii gate floating in the sea, as well as on the pine trees framing the scene. A lone shika deer is looking on in the foreground.

A mocked up image depicting a Christmas card. The card is cream in colour and features a cute pink-cheeked tanuki dressed in a Santa Claus hat, holding a green sack of presents. There are two golden Christmas baubles sitting between his feet.
