Gikii in Amsterdam last week was a blast! Together with Peter van de Waerdt, I explored the right to be forgotten using The Silence from Doctor Who as a metaphor... which meant wearing a mask at an academic conference. Looking forward to seeing everyone next year in Edinburgh.

„Wat betekent dat eigenlijk: nooit meer?” vroeg presentator Rob Trip zich af in het Achtuurjournaal (NPO1). Volgens het journaal verstoorden twee actievoerders de Dodenherdenking op de Dam. Dat hadden ze natuurlijk niet moeten doen. Maar de werkelijke verstoorders van de plechtigheid hielden een toespraak en legden kransen.

On the train back from an interesting visit with our tech law LLM students to the Meta offices in Amsterdam. Students worked on varied real-world cases, and asked (and got answer to) some critical questions. Lots to chew on for our students!

I was browsing through my partner's grandmother's bookcases. "Oh, you can take any book you want, I've read them all anyway." I chose Death of a Salesman. It turns out it's a signed first edition! She had no idea; she bought it secondhand just outside NYC in the 1950s.
