I can’t stop thinking about Omega vs Ospreay. The match itself was brilliant, but the presentation and the way it built on more than a decade of these two performers’ incredible careers…god, everything about it just really worked for me. It felt like a monumental event in wrestling canon.

I’ve had my highs and lows with AEW over the years, but man, when it hits, it just hits. You can feel the love and admiration and respect Tony has for his wrestlers—as artists, as people, as figures in a broader history of the form. That Ospreay intro and entrance was a peak example. Gotta wait things out, but rumblings (The Oklahoman’s Thunder beat reporter) that OKC is “likely” to pick up Dort’s team option…which doesn’t change the calculus on his future in OKC all that much, ha. A trade is still very much on the table and always felt like the most realistic option.
