Gaetz withdraws his nomination to serve as Attorney General. A decent and appropriate move, which comes on the heels of a New York Times investigation that found documentation of the broad use by the nominee & a network of his friends to use Venmo and PayPal to pay off young women.

Trump kicked ass. The election of 2024 was the biggest political comeback in history. Mika and Joe went to Mar-a-Lago to kiss the King's ring. It was self-serving and hypocritical, but not unlike millions of Republicans who pretend to forget about what happened on Jan 6.

The Senate Judiciary Cmte could refuse to consider the Gaetz nomination by saying in the absence of the House Ethics Cmte report they lack sufficient information to proceed. They can do that, but do the Senators have the guts to defy Trump?

Under no circumstance can Matt Gaetz be confirmed. In May 2021, this guy was under investigation for sex trafficking a 17-year-old girl. He put in his resignation just to escape the House Ethics Cmte jurisdiction. Release the scathing report on his conduct immediately.
