New paper alert… 🌿🍄🦠 🌡️📖 Our work that explored potential changes in the distributional ranges of both a vulnerable, endemic tree and a newly identified fungal wilt pathogen under future climate change is now out in Landscape Ecology: PDF download: rdcu.be/fh02g Online: lnkd.in/esu-Y5a2

I am happy to share this poster will be displayed at the upcoming Kingston University ECE PGR Conference 2025! I'd love your feedback, comments and questions 🌍 #KUECEPGRConference2025 #PhDchat #SciComm @kingstonuniversity.bsky.social
A colourful poster titled "Triple threats to tropical biodiversity: predicting the impact of future climate change, disease and deforestation on vulnerable species range dynamics with RangeShiftR"; with five sub-headers with text sections including: 1) Background, 2) Aim, 3) Methods, 4) Results and 5) Discussion. There are five figures, figure 1 is a map of Madagascar, figure 2 is a conceptual diagram of the RangeShiftR modelling framework, figure 3 is a conceptual diagram of model scenario combinations, figure 4 are maps of Madagascar showing habitat suitability of the focal tree and its wilt pathogen, and figure 5 shows a lambda graph describing population growth rates over a 100-year simulation. At the bottom of the poster are references, acknowledgements and credits.

"Even a wounded world is feeding us. Even a wounded world holds us, giving us moments of wonder and joy. I choose joy over despair. Not because I have my head in the sand, but because joy is what the earth gives me daily and I must return the gift." - Robin Wall Kimmerer
Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants is a 2013 nonfiction book by Potawatomi professor Robin Wall Kimmerer, about the role of Indigenous knowledge as an alternative or complementary approach to Western mainstream scientific methodologies.
