When the judicial presumption of regularity finally first falls with this administration and justice department they are in so so much trouble.

A quick note on the utility of vote by mail. I am unfortunately a former constituent of former Representative Swalwell who was credibly accused of sec crimes by numerous women and resigned. The special primary election for his replacement was yesterday.
Voter turnout: 106,629 vote by mail 1,981 in person at polling places.

Going outside again the pattern seen inside only matches skylights on the eastern 2/3 of the building, and only looking south. Fortunately for us the pattern is asymmetrical. We cannot tell from other clues that I see how far along that line it happened. But we have a useful narrowing down.
Pattern in detail Line of skylights along which the fire must have started.

Zooming in on the fire and far end of warehouse. Notice skylights aren’t on a perfectly regular pattern. From the far end there is one skylight, then two & three closely spaced, then a fourth with more spacing, five & six closely spaced, seven eight nine ten widely spaced. Fire at ten closest.

This image is from a short video a warehouse worker took as the fire started. This and all the other workers evacuated safely, no injuries reported. The orange glow is fire coming down from the roof, burning materials on top of the left shelving, and burning debris falling to the aisle floor.
The fire starts. KCRA coverage from unknown Medline worker.

Before the fire: a 1 million square foot logistics warehouse for Medline, a medical products distributor. North is up. I will demonstrate via overhead and internal image analysis that the fire likely started in the eastern 2/3 of the building, and that the internal video was taken facing south.

A little harmless Sunday OSINT on a Phone imagery analysis of… a warehouse fire that happened reasonably near my house (50 km east). The Medline Warehouse fire in Tracy, California. (Two snapshots from @kcranews.bsky.social coverage and Google Maps are used for educational purposes).

It’s been a few years so people outside LA may have forgotten the risks, but this was on a road above Santa Cruz. My friend owned the radio tower and a house nearby and still hasn’t gotten his house rebuilt.

Alternatively, bite the bullet on real realignment and probably TBM tunnel deep enough that you don’t cut through anyone’s foundations, approach through the tarmac between international and domestic terminals on each side with a station underneath the parking structure.
100
George William Herbert @georgewherbert.bsky.social · 27/03/2026
There are a couple of options that aren’t that catastrophic. You can’t extend off the existing station, but you could realign up over it and the peoplemovers and International Terminal and have a 700+ foot station over the parking lot cylinder. Raise the freeway crossing and onwards and loop it.

Found an interesting I think so far unreported Houthi thing. Near the port of Ras Isa there are what on first impression must be sand covered bunkers. Thousands of them on rough guesstimate. 15.219817°N 42.625206°E for some, they go in all directions. New over ~2-3 years by historical imagery.

I’m confused by the recolonization; the ice left ~10,000 years ago, so wouldn’t surviving species move north that fast? And the ice line wasn’t that far south, only a bit down into the US overall in this last cycle. Was this talking about older cycles?

If 1,000 feet separation is actually required for an update, it looks like you can get the first 4,800 feet without additional landfill and then you start driving pilings and bringing in rock and soil. Landfill into the river certainly is possible. Just harder than not doing landfill.

What if they added a parallel Runway 01 Right, which is long enough for landings but doesn’t require approaching over Joint Base Bollings? What’s in the diagram is the longest safe separation runway 01 Right I could fit, 550 feet centerline to centerline and around 6,800 feet including runoff pads.

1113
George William Herbert @georgewherbert.bsky.social · 26/09/2024
Current update: Hurricane Helene is Category 4 and headed perhaps a bit west of St Marks, but flooding and winds in that quadrant of the storm are the most severe. Unclear if storm surge is going to be the catastrophic 20 feet predicted earlier but not looking good.

George William Herbert @georgewherbert.bsky.social · 26/09/2024
Models possibly trending a bit west but still predicting 20+ foot storm surge into St Marks region, possibly more as Cat 5 is now being discussed. Some extreme flooding models showing water lapping at southern end of Tallahassee…. Factory at high risk. Reed Timmer on Twitter: x.com/reedtimmerus...

Yes. And flash flooding risk above 70% on top of the storm surge. The plant office (highest and furthest part inland) is at 11 foot elevation and only 2300 meters from a sealevel river. Most of the factory is lower and closer to the river, as low as 8 feet. The storage magazines are at 6 feet.
