The segment that I filmed for CBC's "The Nature Of Things 101" just dropped. I guide hosts Anthony Morgan & Sarika Cullis-Suzuki through the process of how I read the sky when I'm chasing storms. I also give them a few tornado safety tips. www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgyX... #weather #storms #tornado

Proof that my storm chase crew is 100% badass. 😎 We had one shot for Jason to take this pic in front of yesterday’s gorgeous supercell - I think we did all right! ✨🌪️✨ #OzOrBust #stormchasing @georgekourounis.bsky.social @stormdoctor.bsky.social @chriskridler.bsky.social @nycstormchaser.bsky.social
Six storm chasers stand on the road in front of a giant sculpted supercell. Featuring a windmill.

Did some filming today with one of the screen-used Jeeps from the original 1996 film “Twister”. They had a Dorothy tornado probe from the film as well!

Revisiting an old friend. Pacaya volcano in Guatemala is where I filmed a commercial back in 2016. In the process, becoming the first to ever set foot at the bottom of the main crater. No climb to the summit this time, just a brief stay.

Fuego Volcano, Guatemala no major eruptions during my most recent visit, but it was producing quite a bit of steam & gas. Also, some very cool lenticular clouds that kind of look like UFO's

Cartagena, Colombia. An amazing, bustling city, and the narrow streets of the old part of town were fascinating to walk around in.

Another Green Flash at sunset last night, off the west coast of Guatemala! What a treat to witness 2 so far on this voyage.

At sunset last night somewhere off the west coast of Costa Rica, I caught the elusive Green Flash as the last sliver of the sun dipped below the horizon.

Miami In the afternoon we took the shuttle to the Bayside Market area and walked around there for a few hours. It was nice to get off the ship for a bit, and see some of the awesome birds, do a little browsing around in the shops, and soak up a bit of sunshine for the first time in days.

Last night was “Red and Gold” formal night aboard the Queen Anne. I ended up having dinner with one of the guys who helped designs the Apollo 11 astronaut’s space suit cooling systems.

Some photos from the koala hospital I was at during my recent trip to Australia. There’s guys are SO cute, especially the mama with an injured leg, carrying her baby. Those two will be released once she heals up.

One of my most memorable lightning experiences. This one storm in Oklahoma on my birthday in 2019 was insane. This is a composite photo of all the lightning in just one 8 minute period. #weather #lightning

I managed to get sick right before leaving Australia. Having a cold is not so bad, but when you add that to 36 hours of travel, 16 hours of jet lag and traversing 4 airports… It adds up. I’m finally feeing better now after a few days of readjustment and some rest.

Bye bye Australia. It’s been an amazing, epic adventure. I still have lots of photos to post when I get home, but for now it’s time to settle in for that long journey home.

Many thanks to everyone who came out to the Darwin200 event at the Sydney Opera House last night. It was great fun, and our ship had the best parking spot in all of Sydney!! Extra thanks to The Explorers Club Australia/NZ chapter chair Todd Tai for making it out and for the photos.
