Today was one of those good days sound design wise. Definitely not always the case, so i don't take it lightly. Also pro tip: share source with your friends. @anthonyturi.bsky.social and I were both source jamming today and traded sfx (we do this alot). Rad way to get inspiration!

That makes sense to me! It's definitely source dependent, and I'm not sure how often stereo would be a necessity I couldn't accomplish with my other mics. I appreciate all the input, you guys might have saved me a few bucks here lol

I've got a handful of small diaphragm condensers, as well as a shotgun. Looking for something that can capture a bit more low end for in-studio recording. Something like a C-414 or similar. I'm thinking having the option for stereo would be nice, but not crucial since I have other stereo options.

Definitely had my eyes on a D100 for awhile now. I'm looking into some large diaphragm condensers for in studio recording. I'm leaning toward getting a pair for down the road, but not sure how often I'd actually use both. It does depend on the source forsure.
