how about turning Catullus 16 into rap, and getting universally banned.

So Half million is a big number!, sorry its not between 1967 and 2019 22 million trees were planted in Milton Keynes 420k per year this plan is over three years so 167k per year some ambition to manage nationally 40% of what a single local authority is achieving

askit why it is trusted : America is not treated as a source of record. It searches official U.S. government pages, cites them, and still can be wrong or out of date. caveat emptor

The British Empire was evil/competent, this can in no way justify a claim that it was good effectively enslaving a quarter of the world. How can anybody justify buying software from somebody who equates evil->competent-> good

We were forbidden from asking EU about TRACES design but had to reverse engineer from web scraping. Theoretically this was synchronised in practise never could be, so UK exporters have to operate two systems in many cases.

I was part of the team that was tasked with creating an UK version of TRACES European Commission's online platform for animal and plant health certification. The EU said no need to replace can continue to use, Gove insisted that we had our own system, IPAFFS.

Would take years to use up the da Vinci code. Can I suggest using paper to produce a modest book say erotic poetry from Catulus to Donne to allow the paper to redeem itself.

1689 House of Orange-Nassau 1660 Restoration 1678 Founding of Whig and Tory parties I think it has to be 1678 "the loss of innocence" the Tories the intellectual predecessors of the current Conservative and Republican parties and named after the Irish for robbers

Plastic bags with spare screws for something you think you threw away years ago but you could be wrong and might need. A corkscrew that doesn't work long handled forks for fondu. B-B-Q tools (we live in an apartment and have no B-B-Q.

Brings us back to the liability question for example if I ask an Ai to get me auction records for a particular book and it hacks rare book hub am I liable, what if it wanders in through an open door, how about if it steals from another AI who stole it first? soon information retrieval to be FUBAR?
000
Robert James @geographer52.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
If the AI can do it presumably it can conspire to do it so you might be liable under conspiracy law(at least in the UK)

The Book is regularly attributed to William Pudsey however research has identified no such person as part of the Whig Cause, I identified William Petyt, Keeper of the Records in the Tower of London, as a more likely Author. Probably 3-4 years more research before I can part with this (one of many)

I have a 1698 book on Whig politics has Lord Fauconberg's ownership signature. He married Cromwell's third daughter Mary, served on Charles II's Privy Council, and was made an earl by William of Orange, and had Cromwell's headless body interred in his attic.
Title page of a Whig text from 1698 A Political Essay or Summary Review of the King & Government of England Since the Norman Conquest Author identified as W.P_____y. Esqi.

Trumps folk are right, for high values of an integer, e.g. 2.48 rounds to two, 2(.48)+ 2(.48)=4(.96) rounds to 5 whilst viewed as a joke now was not a joke in early days of calculators and computers my Budget team had regularly to unscramble overly strong/weak budget bids in Millions

thist happens when children are given an allowance that exceeds their basic needs (Pokémon) they need to be set to work. I haven't seen a small child dressed in rags at London Firsts begging begging Pom Harrington to buy their daddies books to save them from starvation. So that would be a First

I suspect that this is temporary intended to bring China to table to deal in a future trade round. In the meantime we are collateral damage. I’m sitting on a quantity of French antiquarian and fine binding, my wife keeps suggesting a return to Paris on Eurostar.

I’ll try to give you rational, my understanding is Temu etc inundating Europe with packages circumventing tariffs. Could have tried to charge % but admin too great so went with fixed charge. Because of WTO membership has to apply to all countries not just China without specific trade agreements.
