When I hiked Mt Timpanogos in the spring many years ago people were sliding down the glacier towards the lake. Quite a few were cut by the ice and had to be patched up in that little hut visible in the second pic. Good times.

When I hiked up Timp it was from the Sundance side, which bypassed this meadow. A shame, but I did get to see a few people sliding down the glacier to Emerald Lake (and getting medical attention when they finally came to halt).
