Happy to share that I’ve been awarded a @erc.europa.eu Starting Grant! At @geosciences.bsky.social & @cnrs.fr, MEMENTO will explore how tectonic stress shapes the earthquake cycle. While I'm grateful to colleagues who supported me along the way, I can't wait to start this new chapter! Stay tuned!

A great team effort to understand how fault permeability evolves in relation to the mineralogical composition and its effect on stability. This has great implication for the role of faults in acting as barrier or conduits for fluids. @geocarolina.bsky.social www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

Highlighted event: Opening up about Mental Health across Career Stages in the Geosciences
EGU 2025 is almost upon us! While a highlight of the year for many scientists, a big conference like this can also come with feelings of stress or anxiety for many. (If that’s you – you are not alone!...

Scientific research is facing unprecedented threats in the United States. This affects our scientific community in many ways: *job layoffs—impacting #ECS and #EDI *data erased or made inaccessible *word censorship *research funding cuts These are the reasons why I #standupforscience2025

Two intense days in Ismaning with #EGU #ECS Reps, shaping our community’s future—toward&beyond #EGU25. Big thanks to @eurogeosciences.bsky.social for an inspiring leadership workshop. Takeaways: 🔥 Leadership has no single definition. ⚡ Overused strengths become weaknesses. 💡 Kindness is key.

Some of you were waiting for it: Here's our new data visualisation of the earthquakes near #Santorini, provided by our colleague Marius Paul Isken, and located with pyrocko/qseek. It includes yesterday's quakes and starts January 29. Marius included a nice twist, so to speak. Wait for it.
