Ieks! Mijn ervaring is dat het in Nederland inderdaad ook niet makkelijk is om te integeren in een groep andere-etniciteiten, maar met een beetje vriendelijk volhouden mag je er dan toch een beetje bij. Maar ik schrok van het onverholen wantrouwen en agressie daar in Amerika.

Daarna 6 weken gewerkt in Lafayette bij een universiteit en dat was nog erger. Ik probeerde tijdens de lunchpauze aan te sluiten bij een tafel, lekker buiten, waar de zwarte dierverzorgers aten. Na 3 dagen gaf ik het maar op want ze bleven maar denken dat ik voor de witte heersers zat te spioneren.😭
