Pretty sure the Triple-i Initiative was the most all-around solid event this year. I did see a few games that interested me myself, I think I will be checking out Prison of Husks and Isle Goblin soon. The new RoR2 expansion is also quite rather exciting!

A great deal of effort went into ensuring that the color banding on this one was as minimal as possible. It's a shame all that effort will be undone by Bluesky's compression now but what can you do. I like how this edit of an Armored Core VI screenshot came out.

I have now finished* Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, gifted to me by a very kind friend not too long ago. This is the single greatest game From Software has made and it is not even close. I especially loved the story and characters but the gameplay is also superb.

So I had this cool idea for a cool cursed noble warrior that was a skeleton bursting with raven wings like a Clicker with fungus. Today I spent two and a half hours weight painting two regular bird wings in Blender and I've made the executive decision to never do that because holy shit.

I have to admit something. For a long time, I thought "2k" referred to 2160p. Now to give myself a little credit so I feel better: 1. Calling 1440p "2k" is incorrect and a marketing term. 2. Everyone refers to screen resolutions by their height so "2k" and "4k" indicating the width is stupid.

I have now finished Alchemised by SenLinYu. Very good book, one of the best fantasy books I've ever read. The romance is great, it goes over a lot of very heavy topics and it is dark more often than not but I will say I absolutely loved it and I highly suggest giving it a try.

Y'all I may have finally figured out how to make ivy that is not dogshit! Also messed around with shaders a bit so that I can control the brightness of individual ivy quads so I can have them be darker where the environment is also darker. Also I updated the wall texture, I like it.

I haven't really stuck to doing proper PS1-2 era graphics so far so I wanted to do some testing. This bare-bones scene features two repeating 128p textures using unshaded materials. I painted the vertices in Blender to try and suggest a directional light hitting the room and I'd say it came out fine
