Sometimes you don't have to wrap your Christmas presents, right? Like, if my parents gifted me a bunch of beautiful history books, those can go right on my shelf or be in my hands instead of taking a little sojourn to the floor beneath my tree, can't they? 😅

Me sitting here eating the largest cinnamon roll in the pan, the only thing I have consumed all day, and thinking about how my doctor said, "Your cholesterol looks great. Genetics, diet... whatever you're doing, keep it up," like...

Would love to find and follow some more #yarn people here, so for bait I'm going to share a few project photos from the summer. 😂 #knitting #crochet
A small crocheted dragon with mottled deep blue and purple horns and stomach, and one tattered wing. It stands on a short bookshelf with a lamp and a crocheted dice bag in the background.A squat crocheted version of the duck holding a little knife meme. The little duck is wearing a crocheted flower crown made of tiny purple and white flowers.A fuzzy crocheted loaf cat designed to look like it is part cat, part bumble bee, with wings on its back and a fuzzy striped body.

Played a doomed NPC in a one-shot yesterday to help establish backstory for another player's PC. The GM let me impulsively bring in my own PC in the moment b/c it made sense with the plot set-up, and now our PCs will have beef in the upcoming game. GMs like this are the literal best ever. ❤️

Feels like I'm starting from scratch again, but my feed is already 100% improved because I'm seeing more about books and the fiber arts than I have in a long, long time. ❤️

I've been thoroughly enjoying my read of "An Elegant Madness: High Society in Regency England" by Venetia Murray. She includes loads of quotes from actual contemporary letters and writings, which I love, and I'm super jealous of her invite to stay at Chatsworth while doing her research. 😅
An image of the book "An Elegant Madness: High Society in Regency England," by Venetia Murray. The cover is bordered in bright yellow with a white panel at the center that features a 19th Century French caricature of a couple dancing the waltz, which was considered "indelicate" by English society until around 1812 when it became more popularly acceptable.

I think the best response I've seen to AI anything has been, "Why should I bother reading something that nobody could be bothered to write"
