"I got my Heart Shades on and I'm lookin' somethin' vicious. All the ladies call me LUCKY 'cause I'm magically delicious!" -Ras Thorne, complete and utter dork.

Made the mistake of putting on more FFXIV commentary when doing dishes. Had to come pause and switch to something else once I realized he's one of these "FFXIV *gets good in heavensward*" people. If someone gets filtered by ARR then I don't need to take any of their story opinions seriously

Artwork by Parmezan on Vgen! (vgen.co/Parmee_zan) Ras proved herself worthy of the Queen of Cradle the moment she challenged her to a duel despite the vast chasm of power between them. Ras lost, of course, but Synora admired her fighting spirit and immense courage against overwhelming odds.

I can't recall if I ever shared the full short story where this excerpt is from, but. The origin of Ras' back brand. :3

Ras smells like smoke, cinnamon, and oranges. Some have described it as 'a burnt orange dessert, but not in an unpleasant way.'

Ras Thorne has all the trademark traits of a shonen protagonist(affectionate)(derogatory). This would get her BLASTED into 'does not appear in fanfiction' territory. She's loud, she's optimistic, big-hearted, a bit selfish, self-sacrificial, etc. And they're going to hate her for it lmao.

"A new hand touches the beacon..." "You got the Kokiri Emerald! This is the Spiritual Stone of the Forest, now entrusted to you by the Great Deku Tree." "O Erdrick, Prophesied Hero, take this orb and rest it on the pedestal in the North to awaken the Great Ramia..." Alright I'm done-

"No matter how strong she became, Ras was never able to defeat her mentor, Elwen, in a duel. Despite this, she never stopped trying, and Elwen was always happy to accommodate." #obsilluXIV

Ras' Father, Irwin, was a single dad of twins, raising both of his children in occupied Dalmasca. He did everything he could to make sure those two grew up RIGHT. Ras loves her dad, who was(and still is!) supportive of her. It's because of him that she believes becoming a Hero is even possible.

Ras does not usually ask for payment! She will accept whatever people give her, even something as meager as 10 gil! "A Hero should be indebted to the people, not the other way around." or something cliche and tacky like that. Don't ask how she manages to like. Afford anything. She won't tell you.

Ras would get straight to work and would develop a brand new organization system that is both nonsensical to anybody but her, AND 1000% more effective than the other one. Folk who walk in on her organizing would be treated to the sight of Ras just hucking books with perfect accuracy onto shelves.
