MeowGun: Hell Denizen (2026) a little outside my usual wheelhouse, boomer shooter where you're fighting off demons (as usual? i've never actually played doom) but with trans catgirl flavor including kind of goofy voice acting had a pretty good time with it overall! the guns were generally p fun

30. Big Walk (2026) got to play through a three player run with siobhan and cassidy, really delightful game that encourages and invites finding the joy in exploring mysteries and solving little puzzles with your friends and of course, just hanging out

Sinker Sound [Early Access] (2026) beautifully unpolished combination fishing/rhythm game, each fish has its own unique song+pattern and (as shown below) it has you juggling multiple mechanics at once in such a satisfying way.. it's got 2 of 4 planned areas atm, each with ~10 fish & 1 boss fish

27. Star Wars Zero Company (2026) another very fun time :) wouldn't always voluntarily call myself a Star Wars person but i can't really deny it, a tactics game starting in the clone wars era is a great setup and it's got smart systems + a strong varied cast (though it was def too easy on normal)

2-1 in my friend's budget synergy cube tonight with an esper pixie list very fun to play i got to cast/trigger omen of the seas soo many times, i consciously ran a pretty greedy land count bc of all the selection and draw but that definitely led to my lost match

Paradise Killer (2020) suuper stylish mystery/detective game that also involves a lot of sometimes tedious exploration and platforming across an open 3d space?? dialogue limitations confused me for a bit but i just needed to trust in the process, they pull it through in the end and i enjoyed it

21. Sable (2021) journeying through the desert on your Gliding, a rite of passage of solo travel and choosing your path in life via a mask.. really enjoyed this game, i think it's v successful overall in achieving the atmosphere/exploration of a smaller botw-like experience, great writing too imo

20. Transistor (2014) cool game! struggled with the combat last time i tried it but less this time, excellent style and music as always for supergiant (now played all but pyre) story is.. ok but evocative, tbh i was worried the 'silent woman with talkative guy' would grate on me more than it did

Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven (2024) excellent game, very fun remake (originally from '93 on snes) of this mechanics-forward jrpg in which you get to do the saga thing (i'm new to saga) of leveling skills up by using them as you lead the empire with new teams across multiple generations

8. BrebeMan (2026) combination shmup + music game, you balance between attacking (causing breakbeats to play) and reflecting with the same two discs as a variety of banger electronic tracks play across stages this game is so sick it's immediately so fun to play and try to master, i love it

42. UNBEATABLE (2025) one more for the road~ it's plenty rough around the edges but it's so clearly made with so much heart, they had such a vision for this game & they aimed high (and mostly succeeded!) i didn't expect to be crying the last 30m of the game but episode six really tied it together 😭
