While I agree about Florrie, there was no need for her character to have more of an arc and screen time than the Outlander herself. She was practically in every episode and 2x to 3x longer than CB who was MIA in 4 eps. in a row.

But Claire's grief unleashed her healing blue light that saved Jamie. If she was dead she wouldn't have been able to do it, and you saw at the end both were alive.

Well, they both lived without each other for 20 years. Also, neither died at the end of the ep. That's why I didn't like the ambiguity for an end of the series.🙂

Exactly. All of a sudden Claire became less worthy of her own story. Even secondary characters where more prominent than she was. I would have been more tolerable if her final arc stayed intact, but we didn't even get that.

He even "castrated" Roger. He was as sidelined as Claire this season, even in the last episode when the arc included him and young Ian more than just showing up asking to burry J.

2/2 At least he could have brought back the blue heron. Even she said that because the whole thing was so ambiguous, without having an entire picture she couldn't quite be in the scene as she normally is. In the end she did what she could but wanted and expected better. MBR failed her and CF.

P1/2 - The ending isn't in question. She healed him with her blue light and came into her full healing power. What I hated was that MBR dismissed her understanding of the prophecy & importance of the blue light to the point of not even being emphasized in the last scene.

Agree but not holding my breath that she may even gain another nomination at this point. She certainly deserved both a GG & Emmy win but never even received an Emmy nom. for Faith. After 12 years as lead and another incredible performance in the last episode it would be fitting, but doubt it.

After what MBR did to CB & CF, I don't see her coming back. MBR wasted her time outside ep. 2 she directed and destroyed her best arc in the last episode by minimizing it to the point of making it ridiculous. She did her best but the script & editing lacked the power of the OG.

He did C/CB dirty. Only gave her 1 ep. to direct excusing it as too much work because she also had to act "a lot" in S8. BS considering that she was absent most of the time & handled both in #2. Also took away her most important arc in the last episode by making it an ambiguous nothing burger.

What MBR did to C and CB this season is inexcusable and unforgiven. After what we've see in S8 I'm more convinced that the ep. she was given to direct was the carrot that brought her back but MBR made sure that was the only thing she got.

Don't even expect much of Claire saving him. Ep. 10 should only be about her and the tension/worry/desperation to revive him. She losing herself in the moment trying everything possible & ultimately impossible, pushing everyone away, staying with him and waking up with the bullet in her mouth.

DG always likes eps where J is front & center. If MBR follows this arc per book, ep. 10 should be all about C and what she does on that battle field. Instead, it may just be about J, fade to black & J comes back to life. Sick of what MBR has done to C and CB this season. 🤢

Danni is a Polish Jewish woman tending to the owner and his estate. The look fits, because it's based on an icy & rigid book character. I'm hoping we'll see her go through a multitude of emotions and rich performances beyond the typical mansion housekeeper.
