(🧵 ) I had the honour of doing polaroids and stickers for this project-- it was so much fun, and everyone did an amazing job!! I'll post these separately here in a thread, starting with the Hollow Hunger Cover polaroid~ #TaviScrapbookYearOne #Artavio #dreamutationworks

A painting of Octavio, the Opulent, Octatonic, Operatic Puppeteer of HOLOSTARS ENGLISH ARMIS. He is holding his conductor's baton and waving it with conductor's gestures, both hands in the air. He has 3 braids which are swaying with his movement. The background is dark, with a soft glow coming from the baton.

Life update: This is my first ever stand mixer. It's second hand and barely used by the previous owner. It's surreal how I was able to get this. It's not a KitchenAid, but for now, I'll take care of this baby.

Photo of a white Ambiano stand mixer placed on an orange colored work table. It has a sticker with the poster's business name on it that says "Homebaked Gems by MDGEM Bakeshop"

You loved the lyrics. Means a lot to me, you know? I've been a frustrated songwriter my whole life and it always overwhelms me how this brought fort a GARGANTUAN, GRAND PROJECT. My goodness, what a ride. This has been Gemmu, your lyricist. Peace out ✌️

(cont) matter if it's done for justice or evil, as long as you're with us, it's all okay. GAH, THAT PART IS *chef's kiss* Now, onto the bridge: Ofc it has to be tension-filled and dramatic. Tavi is a Swiftie, ofc bridges matter! I just wanted to reference (cont)

110

☘️🎀Gemmu: BEES KNEES 🐝🦵 @gemmupao.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

THE RAAAAAP GAAAAH I had so much fun rapping this part!! This was @mil_0709_ 's idea and lyrics, and SHES JUST SO BIG BRAINED to write it in JAPANESE!!! ofc you see the romaji ver. here, and I'm not 100% confident in what it means but I believe it means: it doesn't (cont.)

100

☘️🎀Gemmu: BEES KNEES 🐝🦵 @gemmupao.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

NOW THIS IS THE PART I HAD THE MOST FUN WRITING ehe I love love LOVE sneaking in references to the ARMIS Bois themselves. The 2nd pre-chorus is just a setup for something EPIC

100

☘️🎀Gemmu: BEES KNEES 🐝🦵 @gemmupao.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

There's not much to say here except OF COURSE I HAD TO PUT A HOLOSTARS MENTION. Like, that's my signature in all of the covers I rewrote lol. I'm so glad ppl caught that and I'm SO glad the writers and the storyboards did, too!

100

☘️🎀Gemmu: BEES KNEES 🐝🦵 @gemmupao.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

The chorus. Aaaaah, THE chorus. It just emphasizes just how amazing and awesome the boys are, how they've gone to do more than just "break some walls" and how they can just push the limits, and how they don't have to wait after "lights out" to chase their dreams

100

☘️🎀Gemmu: BEES KNEES 🐝🦵 @gemmupao.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

Now the 2nd verse and the 1st pre-chorus: The og lyrics where so damn edgy lol I wondered how to turn that into something a bit more celebratory while also maintaining the "heh, us? Yeah, we're badasses" feel. And so the journey continues as they set out to conquer.

100

☘️🎀Gemmu: BEES KNEES 🐝🦵 @gemmupao.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

For the first verse, I wanted to tell the story of ARMIS having achieved their goals, yet staying hungry to reach more and go further. You can tell I love sorta breaking the fourth wall because of the obvious streamer/viewer dynamic hehe

110

☘️🎀Gemmu: BEES KNEES 🐝🦵 @gemmupao.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

Anyways, back to the lyrics. It took a while but by January I came up with the final version of the lyrics, the one you see and hear on the video now. Now the next part is where I explain the lyric breakdown. Sorry the yapperist in me took over.

100

☘️🎀Gemmu: BEES KNEES 🐝🦵 @gemmupao.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

Now, at this point I was still a little lost and struggling with what to tell, but luckily @Absolutecr1nge was ready to write for another project again. I sent her the instrumentals and she already got to cooking with the concept and the story!!! She's awesome.

100

☘️🎀Gemmu: BEES KNEES 🐝🦵 @gemmupao.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

Around this time @_ac1660 pitched in his concept for the sound. Him and I go way back since the Top of the World cover. Man, once I heard it, I knew I had to scrap the draft HAHAHA. So we both agreed to take on the direction of "RPG" or game music.

100

☘️🎀Gemmu: BEES KNEES 🐝🦵 @gemmupao.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

That's me trying to figure out the tone/story/concept of the rewrite. The og to me sounded like they're asserting dominance over their enemies. In the rewrite I did, they already did, but you know da bois, never satisfied and always on that sigma male grindset mindset lol

100

☘️🎀Gemmu: BEES KNEES 🐝🦵 @gemmupao.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

I'm not a very active entity in the fandom due to me gaslighting myself that I'm just a casual Holostars fan, but I find myself drafting lyrics and starting project groups. The cringefest shall now begin. Behold - the first draft on my notes app:
