🌍 Exploring Europe’s geothermal success stories The GEMINI team has visited and collaborated on geothermal projects in other countries where clean, reliable, low‑carbon heat is already in use. 🔥🌱 🔗 Read the blog: www.geminigeothermal.com/blog_eurosit... #geothermalenergy #geothermalmomentum
Crates of red tomatoes ready for dispatch. Green tomatoes with strings attached climb behind the crates. A man in high vis vest and white hard hat is just visible in a manhole in tarmac. A second similarly clad man is kneeling alongside and holding a rod horizontally and a measuring tape that drops vertically into the hole. The man in the hole is smiling as he reads it.A pipe about 35 cm in diameter protrudes from a concrete floor. The pipe continues vertically for just over a metre and bends to the right. It is shrouded in silver coat of insulation which has been loosened to reveal the large bolts that hold it together. A hand from the right shows the scale of the scene.

♨️ Decarbonising public buildings with geothermal energy GEMINI partners visited Sligo Regional Sports Centre, where a shallow geothermal system beneath the car park will heat the building and pool saving 188 tonnes of CO₂ each year 🌱 🔗 geminigeothermal.com/sligo/ #geothermalenergy
GEMINI partners gather at Sligo Regional Sports Centre to learn about plans for the geothermal energy installation. The modernist style building is in the background and there are trees in leaf against a deep blue sky. A group of about 30 are listening with interest.
