Witchette These extremely powerful ette's were created during Gem War 1. They are almost extinct but a few still wandering the countryside. Thank you all so very much. :3 #art #gemcreatures #gem #creature #tcg #ジェムクリーチャー #cardart #wip #cards #cardgame #game #illustration #card #progress

With the mother Gem being the native species of the planet and humans taking Gem off planet with them to other colonies as trade goods, no. Most humans don't know the deeper details of the Mother Gems existence, they see Gems as a resource. Thus, cooperation is beneficial.

The mother Gem can communicate but also humans in this world have technical advancements that would be seen as a threat to the Gems long-term survival.

100

Gem Creatures TCG @gemcreatures.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

The entirety of their experience including the rules they followed and the ones they had to break. The best course of action was symbiosis and coexistence, rather than confrontation. A Mother Gem wants to survive and grow, and it sees humans as an equal.

110

Gem Creatures TCG @gemcreatures.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

The experience of the old Gem will be added to the collective and weighted against all the others. Like someone completing a speed run of a game on v1 which had different rules than the speed run of the same game on v3. Some of the extremely old Gems survived based on their own rules effectively.

100

Gem Creatures TCG @gemcreatures.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

A single Gem returning to the monolith will influence those that come after it for good or bad. Just about every Gem is created under different rules. There are very old Gems that have been separate for so long they don't have the current version of rules. Old Gem on 1.0v new Gem on 12.4v. :3

100

Gem Creatures TCG @gemcreatures.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

The Gem can change over time, it is living an individual life. There are less rules that are fixed, but more lessons that are inherited. The Gem grows adapts and changes over time before adding its experience back to the collective pool.

Gem Creatures TCG @gemcreatures.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Your interest in my project helps me to stay focused and motivated to get more content out there. :3

100

Gem Creatures TCG @gemcreatures.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

A monolith cannot refuse a returning Gem, but with the experience of millions of other Gems they can make sure that new Gems dislike bad actors. Their dislike of a person is a clear sign to their infusers that the disliked person has done wrong in the past. Also, thank you so much. :3

100

Gem Creatures TCG @gemcreatures.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

It is a collective magical object and has to manage its own creations but also, not escalate the situation with other species. The goal isn't suffering, it's creating a collection of knowledge and experience.

100

Gem Creatures TCG @gemcreatures.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

It would absorb the exception and the learned experience that led to it. Ultimately adjusting its future rules to accommodate or eliminate whatever led to it. There are people in the world that abuse the exceptions and eventually the monolith will start making corrections externally.

100

Gem Creatures TCG @gemcreatures.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

When a Gem fails its learned knowledge is returned to the monolith and adds to the collective knowledge. When the Gem Creature chips off again, it has those rules set before it can manifest a POM. They can change individually but it would take an extreme case, or corrupted Gem.

100

Gem Creatures TCG @gemcreatures.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

It is a limitation of their magic. These limitations are set by their respective mother Gems. Large monoliths that contain the collective knowledge of all the individual Gems. When Humanoid first arrived they tried interfacing with humanity in that way and it failed, dramatically. :3

100

Gem Creatures TCG @gemcreatures.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

There are much deeper lore related mechanics at play, but I have a character limit in my response. :3

000

Gem Creatures TCG @gemcreatures.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

The Creature you see is a POM or projection of magic. POMs - can not fully mimic human speech patterns - can not fully mimic the appearance of a human - can be almost anything(most commonly a creature) - do not breed The consciousness of a Gem Creature is the Gem, not the creature. Hope it helps
