I haven't bought Homesense Art ™️ in a long while, but if I was going to again, it would be this.

Yesterday's @hfxgov.bsky.social Halifax Transit tomfoolery. These were the options for me for a midday errand. This time the winning choice was to drive, I clustered a few other errands like dropping off to donation bins to make it "worth" it.
A screenshot of Google maps. The route is from the Colby Village area to the corner of Cole Harbour Road and Cumberland Drive. The choices are: 6 minute drive, 31 minutes by bus, 39 minutes to walk, or 12 minutes to bike.

This is the best way I can describe how @hfxgov.bsky.social Halifax Transit is complete garbage for anything other than travelling to the downtown peninsula. 9 min drive, or 1h and 5 min walk or ... 56 minutes by bus (which includes 23 minutes of walking). 1/

Not sure if this will be therapeutic, effective, or simply aggressive... But when I come across something in my house that someone didn't complete, I am snapping a photo, marking on it how long it took me to correct, and sending it our digital photo frame in the kitchen.
A brown and beige sink vanity in a bathroom with purple walls. Across the counter are 4 skin care products and a towel. Edited onto the image is the words "15 seconds" in white text, with 4 red arrows drawn, pointing to the clutter.A laundry and utility room. On the left, a vertical laundry sorting rack. On the right, in front of the white washer in dryer is a full red cloth hamper and a full white plastic hamper. Edited on top in pink text is the words "3 min" and two pink arrows drawn pointing to the hampers.

Apparently Hilroy's QC has needed some support for a while. Found this gem while doing some paperwork clearout. It's at least 3 years old based on the kiddo/grade matchup, but the scribbler itself could be older.
A used and marked up pink Hilroy 32 page scribbler, closed on a white desk, showing the cover page. OP's hand is covering the "name" section. The pink scribbler cover is pulled back halfway, to reveal a pristine blue scribbler cover underneath. The pink cover is held all the way open to show the blue cover bound to the scribbler as well.

The sweetest girl had a vet check-up this morning and I decided to buy her and her brother a toy. The photo on the packaging! Couldn't help but attempt an inspired photoshoot when we got home 😻
A collage of photos. The background is red and has a pink heart. The bottom left corner photo is a small square with a yellow border. The photo is the toy packaging, which features a grey tabby cat playing with a toy lobster and a toy turtle. The middle photo is a rectangle with a pink border. It's a grey tabby cat sitting on a beige ceramic floor with the same two toys. The top photo is a round photo. The border is a blue wiggly line. The same ceramic floor and grey tabby cat, lying down with the toys closer to her body. The tabby cat in the pink and blue bordered photos look a lot like the grey tabby on the product packaging!

I really enjoy the NYT puzzle games. I don't love how it's AI to "summarize" the results. Like... Everyone who was a human in North America in 1990 or later knows why I made this mistake. Silly stupid robot.

Break the cycle... This has got to be a better option for me than turning into a naggy rage monster for the next 3 weeks. $20 says each of the 3 picks a different tactic, and I still incur a massive mental load, but at least I have a "you picked this!" to point to?
A letter-size coil notebook is open on a blue couch, with a multi-colour striped blanket in the background. The notebook page says:

"Hey Fam, it's me, Mom. You know. The one who gets really anxious and snappy leading up to a trip because there are 73 kazillion things running through my brain, at least half of which are details that won't matter in the long run? Anyhoops... I don't want to get like that before our upcoming AWESOME trip to [redacted], so I need your help! I will need to have you do some tasks and prep that aren't "on Skylight".

How would this work best for you? Mark your name next to which idea you like most:

1: Give me the whole list at once, with a deadline marked on it
2: Give me 1-2 specific things to do each day
3: Pick a day (together) and we will get it all done at once
4: Something fun like all the tasks in a bucket and I will get them all done before the deadline.

@todmaffin.com Here is a free photo for your census result about Tim Hortons' declining quality. I would like that chunk of frosting back!
A white hand is holding up a Tim Hortons chocolate chip muffin in a paper wrapper. On top of the muffin wrapper, an upside-down Boston Cream donut is firmly affixed by its chocolate frosting to the wrapper.

When I cruised @todmaffin.com's Canadian snacks listing and decided to place an order for crackers because, duh, I was not prepared for this note when I opened the box. Go buy! carbsbakery.com
A shipping invoice from Carbs Sourdough Crackers is laid out, on a brown table. Underneath the shipping information is a handwritten note in black ink that says "Grace, Thanks so much for placing your first online order with us. We hope you love our sourdough crackers and can'5 wait to see which ones are your favorites. - Arthur"

Next stop, lotto ticket?
This is a three-grid screenshot of the results of New York Times games, played in dark mode. On the left, a full vertical panel of the hard mode "Pips" game, solved in one minute, 26 seconds. On the top right, the "Connections" game solved perfectly with no mistakes. The bottom right is "Wordle", which was solved on the second word.

Teen has finally earned and saved up enough cash for a long-awaited goal. Bridge closed + price of gas = no freaking way am I travelling all over HRM for no reason. Result? A lesson in calling stores and asking questions! I will be on speaker to write the answers down. Baby steps, y'all.
A lined notebook with questions handwritten.

"Do you have any DS in stock?"
"What models and price?"
"What colour?"
"What time are you open until today?"
"Can you hold (blank) for me until the end of the day?"
"If asked for number / name - give [REDACTED]"

I'm not sure what it means for my future, but the phrase "bulbous toad" has entered my brain twice today, only a few hours apart, by two completely different media sources.
A split-screen grid. The top, larger half is a screenshot of the "Handsome Podcast" hosts Tig Notaro, Fortune Feimster, and Mae Martin with the title "Jonathan Scott asks about DIY". The smaller, bottom section of the grid is a picture of text from a novel, with the words "by a bulbous toad" highlighted purple.

The 9 year old has been appropriately upset for weeks that there has been no "actual snow". To say he is happy today is the understatement of the century. I'm sure I will see him when it's time to eat?
A deck with clothesline pole, railing, and barbecue, with a stack of 6 to 8 inches of fresh snow on top of everything.

Surprising no one, @elysemyers.bsky.social book has the correct-feeling paper.
An open hardcover book is in the foreground, and a person's fingers are lightly resting across the page. In the background, a blue chair in a waiting area.
