Reflecting some more on it I notice that I do have the ability to guide myself in to and away from flow. I can initiate / evoke it when needed. But there seems to be some additional resistance when it comes to drawing. Unfortunately this is where it gets complex and chaotic.

Figured out something else about my motivation 'type'- I seem to be able to work on longer paintings or projects when I experiment / try new workflows. This would explain why I struggle to finish things, yet am where 'I am'. As always 300 characters it to small of a limit to describe properly..
