i have so much vintage art to post but i refuse to compromise on my self-imposed standards for alt text. still i suppose an image with subpar alt text is better than no image at all. but the alt text is part of the art and im such a perfectionist about my ART

pspspst 🤫🤭 yote courtesy of @yotecoyote.bsky.social from 2024 #gekkotaart

a cartoony drawing of two clownish animal-like characters in a limited palette of reds and golds. the taller character, Yote, a coyote with a slender build in mime costume, leans over and whispers to the smaller creature, Bebi, a jester with a long, tufted tail. Yote has a sly look about them, their pointy ears pinned back and with a wide, toothy grin on their face. they lean casually with their arm up and their leg bent as if they are resting against a surface. they have swooping black bangs framing their face, red dots of blush on their cheeks, and one long fang pokes out of their sharp smile. they wear a red bandana and a loose-fitting black and white striped t-shirt. Bebi's puffy red and yellow costume conceals most of their body aside from their face and tail. their face is painted with black dot eyebrows, points beneath their eyes, and they have a round, shiny red nose. one of their hat's "ears" is raised to listen to Yote as they whisper, and Bebi responds by folding with laughter, eyes shut and gloved hand raised to their mouth as they try to contain it.

Distinguished guests, it is my great pleasure to present to you, SMILE JACK 🃏🧪🦦💜🎃 commission for @vilebrats.bsky.social from 2023 #gekkotaart

a vividly colored illustration of an anthro otter in a jester costume emerging from a round tunnel opening. Vile Jack (or in this case, Smile Jack) saunters forward in the dark purple tunnel through swirling vapors, lit from behind by a misty green light. the light casts twisting ripples on the shallow but dark stream of water she steps in. VJ's costume is composed of pieces of vivid bright green contrasting with black and and deep purple, accented by gold buckles, bells, buttons, and ribbons. her outfit reveals her buxom figure, her creamy brown-furred thighs, belly, and chest can be seen thanks to the cut of her garments. she wears a spiked collar and wristband, and a vivid rainbow colored knife is strapped to her forward thigh. much of her ribbons, her hands, and her leg are splattered with dripping blood, a few specks also on her abdomen and face. a cool but sinister grin creeps from behind one of her bloodied, clawed hands. in this version, VJ wears a large black clown nose with a green radiation symbol.

a closeup of the illustration highlighting the details of VJ's face, her gold ear and lip piercings, her wild violet bangs, her golden-eyed gaze, and gleaming gold canine resting over her purple lips. in this version, VJ's own, dark brown nose, as well as her gold septum piercing, can be seen.

hyde for @knoproblem.bsky.social 🔮🌌💜 commission from 2023 #gekkotaart

a lined digital painting of an anthro tiger character lounging midair. their pose and expression are relaxed, they turn their head to the left, looking to the right at the viewer. they have a gentle but crooked and toothy smile. their coat is mainly a gradient of lavender and light pink, with violet to dark purple accent marks and stripes. they have several shiny silver piercings on their nose, as well as one visible on their collar bone.

a colored digital drawing of an anthro coyote character in a cartoony style. the character, Yote, is dressed up in the outfit and has the color palette of Taski Maiden from ENA: Dream BBQ. Yote hops from one foot to the other, dancing with their hand paws raised to the sides of their head. they wear a simple yellow dress with red accents. their feet, tail, and right paw are gloved in black, and a black shadow masks their right eye. four flowing red pennant shapes float behind them. they carry a green striped cloth bag tied around their shoulder.

IT'S TRUE some days are DARK and LONELY, and maybe you feel sad, but PINKIE will be there to show that it isn't that bad!!!! 🎭🤝🌞🌈🌠💗 #gekkotaart

a brightly colored digital drawing of two versions of Cicero (Skyrim) with a saturated magenta-toned palette, drawn and colored with an aliased, or pixelated, brush. the drawing is in a cartoony style, and the two Ciceros are stylized with details that evoke the look of Pinkie Pie (Friendship is Magic).
Cicero to the left appears as he might have after receiving his role as Keeper but before becoming consumed by the persona of the jester. he wears the shrouded robes of the Brotherhood, the dark cloak hanging around his thin body. his straight hair squarely frames his gaunt face and his sorrowful expression. he averts his eyes as he takes the hand of the other figure, being lifted from a kneeling position.
the Cicero lifting his counterpart is jubilant, his face bright and full, and his eyes shut cheerfully with an open-mouthed smile to his companion. wefts of big curls sweep out from beneath his hat, his hairstyle much the same but with a bouncier texture. he appears in his usual jester garb, more full-figured than before, but with a weightlessness in his pose, rocking back on his heels and coattails floating into cured loops.
the background is hazy purple to pink gradient with a busy splattered texture, as well as a transparent screenshot of two Pinkie Pies overlaid. in the bottom left a forlorn Pinkie sits in the dark, gazing up to the Pinkie who appears at the top right, smiling before reaching a hoof out to herself.

bebi exploration from february 2018 :'o3 #gekkotaart

three digital sketches of bebi, a jester creature, in a cartoony style, all with dark purple medium weight lines. the largest sketch, in which bebi proudly stands chest forward, arms open, is colored. bebi wears their signature red hat and red and yellow checked suit, white pompoms on their hats ears, on their shirt in the placement of shirt buttons, and at the pointed tips of their simple black shoes. their long tail sweeps in a serpentine shape behind them, the tuft at the tip bright yellow and coiffed. their painted face has a content expression, eyes closed and with a satisfied smile. their hats ears follow the exaggerated curve of their pose, both falling to the side behind them.
in the small sketch above, bebi sits with their arms and legs straight out in front of them. before them sits a banana, and they pull a catlike displeased expression in response.
in the sketch to the right, bebi stands on all fours, body facing the viewer but recoiling to the side, claws appearing from the tips of their fingers. their mouth opens wide displaying many needle-like teeth. their eyes open wide at some perceived threat, their pupils like pinpricks. their ears press flat against their back together, and the hairs of their tail stand on end.

bebi concepts from october 2017 :oD #gekkotaart

two colored digital sketches of bebi, a jester creature, in a toony style with heavy purple lines. in the larger sketch to the left bebi is dressed in full jester garb and clown makeup, standing upright at a 3/4 angle, looking straight ahead with just a slight twinge of nervousness in their smile. the original iteration of their outfit has a few variations from their usual attire, including yellow pompoms, a scattered yellow star pattern on the ears of their hat, an all red top, and red pants with vertical yellow stripes. they also have slightly more exaggerated proportions than they would usually be drawn with, with a larger head and eyes and a very short torso. they hold their long, yellow-tufted tail above the ground behind them.
the smaller sketch to the right depicts bebi without any of their costume, a bipedal creature covered with a sparse coat of dark fur covering most of their body, their fair toned flesh showing around their face, within their bat-like ears, on their underbelly, and on the pads of their hands and feet. the tuft of their tail is also dark, suggesting they bleach or otherwise alter it to give it its usual golden color. their torso is quite long, in contrast to the appearance given by their high-waisted pants. their stomach is round with rolls, and their legs are short and wide. they stand hunched over with their body faced away from the viewer, feet apart, with a paw-like hand extended, head turned over their tensed shoulder as if they were caught making an exit. their expression is a mix of worry and shock, their yellow eyes open wide and pupils contracted to tiny slits, their mouth downturned, slightly open in a small gasp.

thirteen valentine from 2017 😚💗 #gekkotaart

a colored digital drawing of thirteen, an anthro ringtail cat character. the art style is semi-toony with smooth, soft-shaped linework and a peach tinted palette. thirteen is shown from the waist up in a nervous pose, fingers twiddling, face turned away, and ears lowered, their long tail wrapped around in front of them. their eyes are lidded as they look away with a shy smile. a gradient of warm pastel yellow to a dusty pink with scattered peach-colored hearts surrounds them in the background, and cursive text to the left reads "You're 13's number 1!"

thirteen from feb 2017 just a few months before i conceptualized bebi 🎪🎈 #gekkotaart

a digital sketch with bold red lines on a deep yellow canvas. thirteen, an anthro ringtail character, dances in a spotlight in full clown garb, adorned with frills and pompoms. their expression is cheerful but subtly strained, their eyes and smile drawn tight. both hands are held out to their sides to display a ribbon of tied handkerchiefs that flow around them, appearing to have been pulled from a cut in their midsection. in one hand they nonchalantly hold a shining kitchen knife.

the previous sketch with a more pastel palette, the yellow soft and bright, the red a deep salmon. the canvas is also flipped so that thirteen faces their mirrored self.

some more bebis from 2021 :o0 :oX #gekkotaart

a pen and pencil drawing on yellow lined paper, sketched in red pen and roughly lined in black, shaded with graphite and highlighted with white colored pencil. Bebi, a bipedal creature in full jester or clown garb. they have cartoony proportions, a big head and eyes with round cheeks, simple makeup and a shiny red clown nose. they wear a hood that covers most of their head, with two big points that move expressively like long ears. on their body they wear a loose, poofy outfit. their hands are gloved, their shoes pointed. they have a tall, wide frill about their neck and smaller ones around their wrists. the points of their hat are adorned with pom poms, and two more are placed on their outfit like shirt buttons.
bebi is drawn from the waist up at a 3/4 angle, they lean forward with their hands raised in anticipation, eyes wide and ears standing at attention. their eyebrows are raised high, eyes focused on something before them, and two little fangs poke down in their gasping mouth. they have a light blush on their cheeks.

a drawing in the same style as the last of bebi in a similar position with much more apprehensive body language. they lean back, arms crossed, a hand closed around their mouth, their ears flattened to the sides. their chin is tucked down, their brow furrowed, and a nervous blush is hatched across their face. their gaze is averted far to the side, and their pupils are slit in contrast to their almond shape in the previous drawing.

here's my other main feature creature, bebi!! friendly homunculus and jester for hire 🎪🎈⭐

a close up of bebi's face. they have large, dark, round eyebrows that are raised high as they glance towards the viewer, their pupil slit-shaped in the corner of their big yellow eyes. they have dark eyelashes on their bottom lid and a small triangle on their cheek below. they have a small catlike smirk with one sharp tooth that sticks out, and their face is complete with a big, red, shiny clown nose.

kicking this account off with thirteen's most recent ref! which is from... 2019 :'o3 (crop for more alt text) #gekkotaart

reference image for Aster's fursona, a ringtail cat (bassariscus astutus, a desert dwelling animal in the raccoon family) with a pastel orange coat, pale gold countershade markings, and bright teal accent markings.
on the left they're drawn in a mascot style, standing upright facing the viewer with their body slightly turned. they open one hand and smile as if to greet you, their expression is gentle and slightly reserved, but friendly. their face is round with a soft chin, with slightly fluffy cheeks, and their build is stout and slightly chubby, with a fairly flat chest, soft belly, and thick thighs. they stand digitigrade with their long, fluffy tail swooping from right to left behind them.
below and to the right, the character is drawn with size and proportions similar to a real ringtail, several feet smaller and crouched on all paws.
their eyes are large and bright with teal irises and slightly yellow-green sclera. their hairstyle is a fluffy teal mohawk, and their bangs fall slightly into their face, swooping up into a few tousled points. their eyebrows are accentuated by teal rings that wrap around their face, from their cheeks, around their eyes, to the bridge of their nose and down around their mouth, similar to a cheetah's tear markings. they also have five thick teal rings on their tail, evenly sized with the negative space, the first beginning at the base of the tail and the last capping the tip of it. their visible skin including their nose, tongue, and pawpads are also a bright teal color. the insides of their large, rounded ears and the areas of their face and snout bordered by their teal rings are a light gold color. this lighter color also covers their chest and belly, the alternate stripes of their tail, and their fingers and toes on each paw. finally, a pattern of five stars in this color trails from their flank to their outer thigh on both sides. each star is a different size and they are scattered in orientation, the larger ones centered.

in the top right quadrant, some brief information about the character is listed along with a few articles of clothing they might wear.
the text reads:
thirteen
- they/them
- ringtail cat
- :o3
to the right of the text are drawn two septum rings labeled as such, a lime green open ring, and an iridescent metal captive bead ring.
further to the right are a pastel yellow and green striped tank top, a white and black baseball tee with a neon rainbow design on the front, and a dusty blue button-up with a large floral pattern. below these are a pair of black jeans with a pattern of scattered small white stars, and a pair of lavender athletic shorts with white trim.
the background of the image is a irregular, splotchy gradient from blue-green to light yellow
