I have never felt happier for it to finally be October!! The humidity this summer was BAD;; Also felt like it really dragged out this year. I can’t WAIT to bitch about the cold!! (I’m ready to bundle up!!)

Idk man, I think the mascot horror genre is such a fun way to play with and challenge subversive topics and I’d argue we need more of it. I would even consider this movie in particular as a pretty solid litmus test for how people treat abuse victims, especially when it comes to women and children.

I really enjoyed Buddy. A real shame that a lot of people didn’t have their critical thinking caps on for this one - it had a lot to say, and considering the events of this year, it was a pretty damn bold move imo. Can’t tell if I want a sequel/prequel, or if I’m satisfied with how it left things.

Finally finished the huge office workload, now I can rest over the weekend and jump back into the art groove and comms come Monday. Wouldn’t have been so bad if there hadn’t been so many technical difficulties, but c’est la vie, ain’t that just the way. OTL

It’s also learning how to feel okay with not having to be on the “productive grind” every single day either. Like I should technically try and get out of the house every once in a while to go see friends or just have a little vacation away from home, yanno? Like. Live. As a person. And not a cog.

It’s a matter of trying to balance work and play because my tarot was LOUD the other night about how I NEED TO RELAX… So video games it is.

But no really, this is cool, I’ve never actually sat and listened to a D&D podcast before. I know there’s a couple other good ones out there that I gotta check out too.

OFF FOR MY BTS WEEKEND!! I will return forever changed. Also a reminder, comm info is pinned - I’ll check for inquiries over the weekend, then I’m jumping on whatever business I get when I’m back Monday!

Ofc!! Friday is when I’m heading out of town, so I wouldn’t be able to start work until I’m back after Labor Day Monday, but we can sort out the inquiry easy peasy when you’re set to go!

No because wdym I haven’t drawn this boy in 4 YEARS?;; 😫

(Left side) A WIP of a Neapolitan-colored fox boy looking mysterious; (Right side) an older colored sketch of the same character from 4 years ago apparently.

I guess tbf he was created during a very difficult time of my life. But since I’ve mentally improved by leaps and bounds as of pretty recent, figured that he should have a shot at a decent life too. I’ve missed him.

000

⛩️🎐 Gekka no Bakemono 🎐⛩️ @gekkamon.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Oh my god, ESPECIALLY when it comes to OC ship playlists, like the songs HAVE to define the relationship thematically through the vibes and especially lyrically, whether it's from the perspective of one of the other, or both!

010

⛩️🎐 Gekka no Bakemono 🎐⛩️ @gekkamon.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Oh thank god, I thought it was just a me thing, this is so validating, you have no idea kjhadjkas

⛩️🎐 Gekka no Bakemono 🎐⛩️ @gekkamon.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Idk if it's an OCD or AuDHD thing, or if it's because I love psychoanalyzing themes and subtexts through media, but like-- I'd love for the listener to come up with their own interpretations of the character while following their journey through a sung-through narrative! LIKE DOES THAT MAKES SENSE?

110

⛩️🎐 Gekka no Bakemono 🎐⛩️ @gekkamon.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

One of the most tedious things about making OC Playlists is that instead of just dropping songs that make me think of them or that they'd listen to, I wind up spending HOURS carefully placing tracks in a specific order to LYRICALLY tell an underlying story for listeners to try and piece together.

Not sure what happened or what clicked, but I'm feeling a sudden burst of inspiration to want to draw and maybe even do some writing in the form of much needed character bios and development. Hell, I'm starting to miss RPing too. Gonna try and grip onto this feeling as tight as I can this time.

Hitting a bit of a slowdown as I get through the last of my queue. My 22 yr old lil’ boy’s been going downhill for the past few weeks - I’ve decided to spend the day hours with him until someone else is home to keep watch so I can work with some ease. Anticipatory grief is the worst part.
