Hypothetical: MD rx'ed zofran 4mg tablets, take 1-2 tablets every 8 hrs as needed. Qty 30. Ins only wants to pay for 8 tablets every 21 days. Would you change the rx to zofran 8mg tablets with the instructions of taking half to one tablet every 8 hrs so they could get twice as many doses?

Randomly remembered that my PhD pharmacologist uncle wrote a guide book about OTC medicines 30 years ago (including the "new" class of H2 acid blockers 🤣) and now I kinda want to get my hands on it and update it for a 2nd edition so I can say I'm a published author. Lol
