I am glad I got to try it via Prime. Control feels great. Racing is fun. But there doesn't seem to be any way to make a one-off race for yourself. Also, no rebinding of controls is very strange. I'll pick it up eventually.

LANTERNS finale was the worst episode BY FAR... mostly because of a single decision that was executed so poorly it made both my partner and me shout at the TV about how shit it was. Otherwise, the episode was fine... I guess.

As I've said many times over the past 6 years, if they never touch this dyad or Reylo thing again, it won't change anything for me. But why bother with these narrative threads if you're going to abandon them? Seems silly. Lucasfilm has never abandoned one of its own story threads once initiated.

I'll put on the devil's advocate hat for the whole "dyad" supposition. Sure, it's possible Lucasfilm took the Rey Skywalker & Ben Solo angle and handed it off to a different couple for a future franchise. But hat off, not sure why a studio would risk it. Seems pointless. Just revive Ben.

Also, George was always closer to a gardener than an architect. Whatever ideas he had when he walked out the door, there is no guarantee he would have stuck to them if he'd made those movies (or stuck around to run Lucasfilm).

Folks, George Lucas did not hand anyone at Disney or Lucasfilm an "outline" or a "treatment" and definitely not "scripts" for a Star Wars sequel trilogy before he left. He gave them about a dozen sentences, then ran away with his billions. And I need this fandom to accept that reality.

I don't pay enough attention to them to have an overall opinion. I'm not addressing anyone specific when I talk about these things. But if someone makes DECLARATIONS about what IS and what ISN'T happening, I'm going to need them to make sense. So far, "everything else is dead" makes no sense.

I am not expecting them to use Celebration to announce much of anything. Starfighter will be the main focus. They will not want to distract from that weeks before it comes out. So, expect announcements either months before or weeks after Starfighter is out.

Assume every Star Wars project announced before Kennedy left Lucasfilm is still alive, like Ben Solo. Not alive in the sense that you should expect it soon, but alive in that it's not dead, will not stay dead, and will definitely return at some point.

Today's Star Wars thought: Kinberg's series could focus on Force users who the galaxy is side-eyeing after decades of wars instigated by powerful Force users. The masses may not see a difference between the Light and the Dark. It's all dangerous. Rey's new order will have lots of problems.
