If you want a lightweight wiki, I can recommend #otterwiki: github.com/redimp/otterwiki There are other lightweight wiki options, but Otterwiki strikes a good balance between simplicity, modernity and featureset. 3/3

Functionality-vise #xwiki is similar to #confluence, but unlike the latter, Xwiki can be self-hosted and is open source software. Based on my experience Xwiki is a decent option for those who want an enterprise wiki. 2/3

The article did not really mention open source at all. That's one of the fundamental ways to avoid vendor lock-in. For example, if you use SaaS application that is open source, you can easily switch to self hosting it for example.

Fun fact: latest versions of Mobilepay do not work at all on Jolla Phone 2 (Android Appsupport) or de-Googled Android phones. It is unclear if this intentional or accidental, but nevertheless needs to be fixed if #digitalsovereignty is the goal.

Google's tightening grip on the Android ecosystem should worry European phone manufacturers who rely on de-Googled Android. Google might very well kill the AOSP project if it serves no purpose for it. This would pull the rug from under all phone manufacturers that depend on AOSP. 44/44

Jolla phones with SailfishOS have roughly the same caveats as a de-Googled Android phones do. Other native Linux mobile operating are also available: #postmarketos, #mobian, #manjaro, #droidian and #ubuntutouch. Android support can be added with #waydroid. 43/44

On the software side mitigating the Google (U.S.) risk seems fairly straightforward. Many European manufacturers preinstall a de-Googled Android version. Not using Google Android with Google services comes with considerable, but not insurmountable, trade-offs. 42/44

At the moment it is not possible to avoid the China risk when buying a smartphone. In addition Gigaset - an important European manufacturing partner for many European smartphone manufacturers - is indirectly owned by a Chinese company. 41/44

Most smartphones and their components are manufactured in South-East Asia. This is very problematic for digital sovereignty in Europe: if the the supply chains get severed, the supply of smartphones would quickly dry up. 2/44
