they got planned parenthood to say vote no on the billionaire tax... I can't really say I'm moved by that, but also unexpected. I dunno, I'm just gonna guess all the usual suspects are up to no good

I've never felt like I knew how to vote even after reading that thing... like, yes, I want to tax the billionaires, and yes, I want to fund the schools. but then it'll be like "but if you vote yes on this we'll kill all puppies"

I remember being extremely disappointed when I asked my high school chemistry teacher if atoms could be orbiting around me super fast like planets. I'm not sure I ever got a real answer to that. She seemed pretty annoyed that I even asked. 😭

I mean sure, someone changed it on purpose, but not necessarily to fit more text, is what I mean. I'm sure they could have removed whatever amount of text was required if it went over the page limit. There were a bunch of authors, and none of them noticed it.

I bet you could sabotage a submission by changing the font size of a single period or something somewhere in the paper. something a human wouldn't notice

The one I'm aware of was rejected for a font size change of 1 point (from 12 to 11, 12 is the requirement) and I'm not sure anyone was really aware that it had happened until it got rejected for a formatting failure.

PS started crashing on me last month and I had to update it. Was on 2024 for a good while... all the new "features" are so stupid I just want to remove them from the interface. I'm happy it stopped crashing after updating, at least.
