ATTENTION SMALLER STREAMERS!!! Using twitch's collab feature, and viewers across any collaborating streamer will now add to the COMBINED viewership. This is huge for boosting discoverability, and boosting the activity of all chats involved! Collab time, anyone?

Are there any video editors out there that would give me a rough estimate of how much a 15-20 min video would cost? Just asking for future plans!

Providing an alternative to twitch is awesome! Advertising Jack Doherty and crypto on your homepage isn't, RIP to parti, you killed your platform before it even existed.

Making it big on twitch is cool, but dont forget the BEST parts about streaming! YOUR COMMUNITY Regular viewers New viewers Collaborating with others Viewers who pop in from time to time Lurkers! Networking and befriending other streamers People coming together Remember that :)

I love you all, my Bluesky family!

As a little tip to all you smaller streamers: Audio is KING!!!! It’s SO SO IMPORTANT 80% of your viewers are most likely lurkers (have your stream on in the background) Optimise your system audio & mic for the best results!

gearloe @gearloe.bsky.social · 10/11/2024

As a contrary to this: STREAMERS PLEASE DONT let viewers boss you around! We as streamers will try to cater to our audience, and try to be friendly/friends with everyone! But don’t feel pressured to listen to every demand just to make one viewer happy. Happy streamer = fun stream!

Casual shopping suggests the existence of ranked shopping, and I’d like to see that.

TWITCH STREAMERS Please stop putting live notification messages such as: “X user has gifted you a sub” “Y user mentioned you” “Missed notification from Z user” NOT ONLY is it against twitch TOS but it is MANIPULATIVE and will cause MANY viewers like myself to unfollow.

A quick reminder that not all discussions have to be arguments, people’s mind’s works completely differently to one another, it’s like trying to imagine a new colour. Hear people out, even ones with less experience of knowledge. Perspective is a powerful thing.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but yappers are fucking awesome They’re energetic, passionate, and always open to new perspectives, ideas and opinions! There’s always something to talk about, and they never get bored yapping! Be a yapper :3

It’s ONE loss, get in there and re-queue, you got this!

Fun fact: lurkers often make up for 80% of a channels viewers, especially so with bigger channels! Lurkers are AWESOME People! Not everyone wants to be social for a 4+ h stream!

161

To second this, shorts & clips are easier to post than ever before, with twitches clip feature get those clips rolling!

STREAMERS FYI If you’re not growing on twitch or have 0 viewers, that doesn’t make you a bad streamer! Twitch is an EXTREMELY top heavy platform, where smaller streamers don’t get recommended/impressions. Keep up the good work, you guys are awesome and you’ll build a community in no time!
