A lot to be said for giving players space to find solutions. A key skill for the coach there is spotting the problem early, being deliberate in noticing whether the players have solved it, then helping them if and when they need it!

The level of detail and how it's communicated is key isn't it. All the things that coaches aren't taught!

Agree with you both that players can't/don't want to take on any detailed information during play. That's the case at all levels. 'Cues' that are understood by all can be really powerful however!
