While concerning, it's also heartening to see. These sorts of authoritarian regimes often go into hyperdrive almost immediately before collapse. On some level they know their time is running out and instead of pulling back for some kind of landing, they're racing to accomplish their deepest desires.

The problem really came about when we started teaching the sanitized version of World War 2. Where we started whitewashing the build up and put all the horrors onto the marginalized. It doesn't matter. It's SPECIFICALLY. ILLEGAL. Like this is open and shut as cut and dry as you can get. This law was signed off on back in the *seventies*. I know nothing's going to happen about it, but that makes it worse. Just the flagrant disregard of the law and the failure to enforce it.

Unfortunately, that's by design. Ever since the collapse of the Gilded Age and the New Deal, the Business Elites have been transforming the landscape to make it impossible for another general strike to happen. The "good" thing is by now ratcheting up prices eventually it'll be a moot point anyway.
