Grant Bronsdon @gbronsdon.bsky.social · 03/04/2026In 2019, I literally wrote “If White isn’t actually very good, the M’s will have wasted enough money to buy...one kinda-good middle reliever in free agency?” The risk here is significantly higher — I’m not 100% sure it’s a good deal given payroll constraints — but White wasn’t seen as a certainty. 010
Grant Bronsdon @gbronsdon.bsky.social · 11/07/2025I think it’s the post-rookie-year expectations of him becoming the best player in baseball. Instead, he’s a top ~3 CF in MLB and with room to get better (he’s only 24!!). Hard to argue with his results of course but he hasn’t ascended yet. As a result, a segment of the fan base is truly delusional. 100
Grant Bronsdon @gbronsdon.bsky.social · 12/02/2025Forgot to put this out here yesterday. Jerry Dipoto's team-building philosophy is counter to how many teams operate — and specifically, how fans *wish* teams would operate. Will it frustrate the fanbase? Yes. Will it work? TBD. MY COLUMN for @lookoutlanding.bsky.social:lookoutlanding.comFrustrating offseason breeds discontent for Mariners fansThe Mariners’ roster-building philosophy is maddening for fans — does that mean it’s less effective? 1101
Grant Bronsdon @gbronsdon.bsky.social · 25/11/2024First ever Bluesky post! I wrote about Cal Raleigh and what a contract extension for the Mariners cornerstone might look like. And yes, I had this in the works even before he switched agents. www.lookoutlanding.com/2024/11/25/2...lookoutlanding.comThe next homegrown star extension: Cal Raleigh?Do the Mariners commit to their homegrown catcher for the next decade? 1194
Grant Bronsdon @gbronsdon.bsky.social · 11/11/2024I feel stuck-in-the-middle in my dynasty league; not quite a contender, but not quite a rebuilder (and with some good, young pieces already in place). I know the majority of your content is about redraft, but how would you approach a situation like this? 110
