An Alstom Coradia Duplex X40 in Hallsberg, Sweden. They were bought both as two and tree car sets so that all combinations between two and nine could be operated efficiently for different routes/times, but I've never seen more than two run in multiple. Its successor will only come in five car units.

Today I visited a Swedish model railway club in Hallsberg where they model the station in exact 1:87 and around a non-prototypical 180 deg curve the somewhat compressed classification yard. Near the station, so out the windows you see trains much like what operates on the layout.

Swedish tram built in 1924 photographed at museum tramway in Malmköping, years ago. Used in regular traffic until 1959, for infrastructure maintenance like snow plowing until 1989 when it was backdated to 50s look and then used as veteran vehicle.

This summer I went to take a look at the oldest #runestone in Uppland, Sweden, Krogstastenen, U1125. Dated to 550 or later, so the early language and few #runes makes it impossible to know what it says on this side, other side is maybe "stone". #runestones

Birger Jarl's Oak. It's called that because it's one of the oldest in Stockholm and at 800 about as old as the city. But it's can't have been anything special to the city's founder as it was small then and far from city proper. Next to a higway which may have been offset a bit to save the oak.
