Deutsche Wirtschaft: Positive Nachrichten vom ifo Geschäftsklimaindex. Er ist im August doch recht deutlich gestiegen von 86,7 im Juli auf nun 88,8 Punkte. Gerade im Verarbeitenden Gewerbe, das lange eine Art Sorgenkind der deutschen Wirtschaft war, kam es zu einer merklichen Aufhellung. (1/4)

Die deutsche Wirtschaft kämpft sich langsam aus der Rezession. In unserer Prognose am DIW Berlin sind wir vergleichsweise optimistisch und erwarten für das kommende Jahr ein BIP-Wachstum von 1,3 Prozent. Andere Institute liegen etwas darunter. Das ifo Institut geht sogar nur von 0,8 Prozent aus.
