My washing machine has stopped working. I’m no expert, but I think this might be why… Going to see if a new plug does the job, otherwise I’m looking at a new unit.

The inside of a UK plug, showing significant signs of damage:

- The 13A fuse has blown
- The brown Live wire is kinked, charred and black.
- The copper conductor for the Live wire has melted free of the terminal
- The plastic housing has melted and is shiny in places.
- The fuse clips are covered in black sooting.

I’ve been gradually collecting these #Lego Technic pocket kits. They all have a little mechanical feature based on building construction, and I love the design consistency across the range.

Saw this rainbow on the way home, so I snapped a pic. I also used it to test the iPhone’s image editing tools such as object removal. See if you can spot all the differences.

Your food scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.

Bought some pins from a local indie creator. I normally catch her at London shows like MCM Comic Con or Hyper Japan, but I’m skipping them this year to try and save money. Still trying to support small artists though! Btw, the photo really doesn’t do the pastel colours justice.

A collection of enamel pin badges from Indigo Abbie. It includes some Minecraft blocks, an Xbox 360 and Sega Dreamcast console, and two Switch 2 joycons.

Back from a long weekend at # Legoland Windsor with the fam! It’s a holiday we’d had pre booked since March, so it’s been a long time coming! And oh boy was it worth it! There was so much to do around the park, from the rides themselves to builds and activities […] [Original post on gamepad.club]

I think if I had this in my kitchen, it would hurt my brain from overstimulation. “Why are my appliances shouting at me?”

My son has started taking an interest in video game foods. This has resulted in him wanting to try some of them IRL. Yesterday was ramen, or Oodles from Ooblets. Today, I don’t remember what game it was from, but it was wok fried udon noodles. He tried them both! But prefers ramen.

In Kent, in England, there’s a town called Sandwich. Nearby is a village called Ham. Which means that you get this street sign calling out “Ham Sandwich”. There’s also a bus that starts at Samdwich, goes through Ham, before finishing at the coastal town of Deal. English, eh?

After some more playing this evening, I’m slowly getting used to the controller layout for #FFXIV. I’m able to do quests and fates comfortably now, but would like a little more practice before trying the duty finder…

It’s taken probably half a day of research and testing, but I finally have a workable UI for #FFXIV on #nintendoswitch2. Now I just need a crap ton of practice. Huge thanks to everyone who game me amazing advice!

Finally hit level 80 in #GuildWars2 ! I finished off the map in Straits of Devastation, them moved on to some earlier map spots to round out my progress. Now I just have to work out what I'm going to do next. Any ideas?

Chewing through the Straits of Devastation in #GuildWars2. It feels weird doing a zone with no renown hearts (quests) and a ton of dynamic events, but the XP is still flowing freely! Still going to try and 100% the zone map though...

Clocked in a few more hours of #GuildWars2 and reached level 55. I'm thinking of using the coastal zones south of Lion's Arch to do the final push towards 80, as there's a nice conveyor belt of content. Definitely enjoying Guardian too.
