Gavin Barron @gavinb.net · 28/08/2026Pressing this button closes out a chapter here at Microsoft. MGT was the first product I worked on as an FTE. mgt.dev has been updated to remove the playground. The final versions have been published to NPM and deprecated. Thank you to everyone who contributed. 120

Gavin Barron @gavinb.net · 04/03/2026I'm really not a fan of how warm it is in that forecast. Both for the fact that it means rain in the mountains and the kick on effect that we're so screwed this summer with our water reserves. Fire season is going to suck so bad. 030

Gavin Barron @gavinb.net · 23/01/2026The novels were awesome. I came to the games by way of the novels. Fun fact, the novels were all that kept TSR afloat and the financial mismanagement of the debt that they incurred on that income led to D&D being sold to Wizards of the Coast. 000

Gavin Barron @gavinb.net · 26/06/2025This is how you win, by putting the right tool at the finger tips of users right where they are working. If I have to switch windows, then there's a very real danger that my ADD brain will get side-tracked. 120
Gavin Barron @gavinb.net · 26/06/2025How do I do task X? Old way: switch from editor to browser, compose a query, don't forget to include a bunch of context like language and execution environment, search, parse results and find a code snippet to try. New way: Ctrl+i, ask the question, take the resulting code and adjust to suit. 100
