This is how it feels to be in Boston over the last 2 days

An image of Willem Dafoe looking up in fear and perplexity. There is a yellow filter around it, mimicking the color of the sky around Boston and much of the Northeast United States over the last few days due to wildfires.

Made a Goliath Beetle themed design as part of a Monthly Animal Challenge over on Instagram :)

A Goliath beetle graphic featuring a Goliath beetle on the center with its wings splayed out. The beetle is white and red with orange yellow wings. The background is textured and green with large text reading "Goliath beetle" and smaller text featuring its scientific name "Goliathus goliatus". There is also a larval form right at the top, facing the adult grown beetle.

I accidentally got this cool screenshot when PS was acting up earlier this morning and I think it's a cool way to show process, especially when I don't have enough processing power to record time lapses and draw at the same time.

A pattern inspired by a Trip to the New Bedford Whaling Museum

A pattern with a navy blue background consisting of a Whale skeleton with a large whale spinal column to the right. There are stars inlayed all across.

Part of a much bigger piece that I am slowly working on, haven't had time for personal art in a while

A rough sketch of a long dragon with horns and a very big tail

Here's some random practice/rkgk

A sketch of a red arched Dragon standing in front of a muffler blue and blad background. The dragon has a faded beard/mane and large set of scales that form a singular horn at the top of its head. The dragon is baring its teeth.

@frame.work just announced a bunch of new cool stuff for their Gen 2 updates and now there's a 40 minute wait time for the website! That's so wild! Love to see more people coming together to support these guys!

A cloudflare page on the framework website which states "You are now in line. Thank you for your patience. Your estimated wait time is 40 minutes. We are experiencing a high volume of traffic and using a virtual queue to limit the amount of users on the website at the same time. This will ensure you have the best possible online experience. This page will automatically refresh, please do not close your browser"

It's an important object I carry with me at all times because I use it to record voice notes as well as an MP3 player.

I think they came out quite nice. :)

Bathed in moonlight, Quercus sits on the edge of a towering tree, and as he gazes up at the canopy of leaves, moonlight filtering through the branches, a sense of peace surrounds him.

Our little Acorn friend, the tiniest of explorers, weaves his way through the forest undergrowth, ever curious about the world around him.

The firelight flickers across Quercus’ face, illuminating a face that is tired, yet determined.

As night falls and the woods grow quiet, a sense of peace washes over our wooden friend.

Quercus knows this is just the beginning of his journey, and he’s ready for whatever mysteries the woods may hold.

Forgot to post this but I ended up doing a little shoot with the Acorn guy, named Quercus!

In the heart of the whispering woods, Quercus, the watchful guardian, stands tall. Despite his short stature, his gaze is fixed on the ancient trees, which holds secrets waiting to be discovered.

As the day passes, the little Acorn leaps from log to log, his spirit as light and nimble as a squirrel, as his heart beams with hope and adventure.

Quercus sits on the edge of the whispering woods, his sight weaves into the unknown. A moment’s rest before he continues his journey.

Quercus’ curiosity leads him deeper into the woods. Shadows seem to dance around him, but his determination remains steadfast.

He also has very scuffed articulated leg joints now haha

Part of the acorn knight held to the camera. There are separations between his hip and his legs to allow for articulation thanks to some wires wrapped around his legs (which are made of sticks)

I've been making some Acorn dudes for a small installation project I'm doing at school.

A character made of mostly acorns and wires sits on a table, there is a paper napkin behind him and a lot of broken pieces of wood in the background.

Hello! I'm Kuro :D Here is some of my older work :D I have a bunch of stuff in the works so probably will be posting them soonish

A flat color rendering of the redesign of Flankspeed, the US Navy's Internal Email system Mascot. I decided to redesign it not because I like the original design, but because it was annoying me. The design features hydrocdynamic motifs based on aircraft carriers and transformers-like bulky shapes. The mech also has two large shield/bracers.

A portrait of a combination of two characters from Metal Gear Rising Revengance. Kaz Miller, staring into the viewer, he is wearing a trenchcoat. His lower jaw is mechanical and you can see the metal. He is also wearing a Beret with the insignia of 'Diamond Dogs'. The background is a dull and undecipherable shade of darker colors. style is scratchy, not emulating realism but still trying to balance the look of a rough sketch with slight rendering.

A 3D Voxel art piece of the mech known as "Tsugimori" from Tsutomu Nihei's manga called "Knights of Sidonia". The mech is mostly white with red accents and angular. The background features a dark grey hangar.

A drawing of Zaku-II, A mobile suit from Gundam. The background has darker colors with purple and blue shades with a silhouette of the Principality of Zeon. The Mech, Zaku-II is Red with it's ocular "eyeball" focusing dead onto you, the viewer.

I really enjoyed playing and also being disgusted at Mouthwashing, a great indie horror game made by the guys over at @wrongorgan.bsky.social and the cover art made me think of an idea for a piece I just HAD to do, so here we are.

O hello there. I guess now I have to archive and delete twitter permanently now. Here, have some pictures I took of an Asian Lady Beetle (Harmonia axyridis)

An Asian Lady Beetle crawls over part of a stem. The background is mostly green and yellow with leaves all over with a small dash of red on the ladybug.

The year is ending and I felt like shitposting

The image is a black mech with a red outline with a red and purple background. There are various text blocks that don't have any meaning spread across the image teasing the reader to stop reading and with encouraging messages. I hope you know that I appreciate you and didn't forget to hydrate! Drink more water!

I just realized I don't post any of my traditional work at all, I hosted a Paint Night a few weeks ago where people got to draw on very small canvases. I didn't have much time to draw but managed to do this in the middle of it all, need to finish it soon but here's a WIP in the meantime.

An unfinished portrait of a woman in armor on a very small canvas. With a myriad of colors ranging from Oranges and reds and pinks to some blues and purples in the background. The knight has a sword protruding out from behind her and some kind of marking on her left eye as well as a scar on her left cheek. A very generic design.

Hello! I followed you back on Twitter a few years ago, big fan of your work! I'm Kuro and I like to draw Mechs and just whatever whacky idea I think of, there's really no cohesion sometimes because I experiment a lot with styles and techniques! Nice to meet you :D

A simplified vector portrait of the Artist, Kuro, holding an orange. He has a perplexed look on his face, because he has no idea what he's doing. A self portrait mirroring his state of mind while making the artwork. The faint iridescent background has a gradient going from Blue to orange with various silhouettes of what appear to be buildings.

A man with the head of a goldfish, named Charlie McGold stands with his hands crossed. He is wearing a dark navy Hawaiian shirt with leaf patterns of various blue and green shades and jeans. He has a little belt with an orange goldfish in the yellow buckle. The background is light blue with splotches of paint mimicking bubbles.

Heyyo! I'm Kuro. By day, I'm a computer engineering student and robotics researcher. and by night, I'm an artist and designer. This way, I get to make robots both IRL and through my art. I also dabble in some OSINT research and journalism on the side :D
