Ahhhh ... Wonderful. 😖 Several years ago I opted out from MyMedicare. Tomorrow I am moving into respite care, where, despite the paperwork clearly stating that signing up to MyMedicare is voluntary, unless I sign up, I can't be admitted. A new meaning of the word voluntary, I see.

Beyond annoying, I'm afraid. In one 24 hour period I've gone from mostly independent to "is this where and how I die" Very bloody confronting. Recovery is long and slow. And many tears have been shed.

It's not good, and it's not the retirement that I signed up for ☹️ Chemo is working, but I'm being challenged by other issues that affect my various blood levels and BP. That affects my ability to deal with physio, and I now have a thick wad of paper to complete for a respite care residency. 😢

Prior to my current situation, we would buy 3 loaves of the seedy rye, and put two into the freezer, keeping one for almost immediate consumption. Delayed by the freshness of the mini bagels. 🙃

Yes, stodgy is an apt description, but done well, with the right fixins, they make a great breakfast or snack. When I lived in CA and TX we had a rotating member of staff bring in bagels and donuts for Friday breakfast. As well as the requisite fixins.

375 Old South Head Road, Rose Bay The Bagel Company. They do mini bagels which means that you can get more flavours for your choice. I love the onions, or garlic. Kosher, so not open for Shabbat. Also grab a loaf of the seeded rye. Smoked salmon philly cheese and sliced red onions.

Mine is a very different regimen from the typical chemo. 4 pre-med tablets an hour prior, and then a two minute hand held injection into the chest. Daily follow up capsules for a couple of weeks, but that's it.

Take your time; it's an important decision. After moving back to Straya from the USofA it was 20+ years before I acquired Koko the Labradoodle. It was way too long. Unfortunately, due to health reasons I've needed to pass her on to another person, and I miss her terribly. 😢😢

No. It's actually very quiet. The design is such that there are "cylinders". Rows of tubular tubes that run across the mattress, and they alternately inflate and deflate so you have one inflated, the next deflated, the next inflated, and so on. The size of the tubes is such that my bum can
