''The World in 2050...'' We talk a lot about AI taking over, robots replacing us, machines becoming too powerful, and every other dystopian scenario science fiction has prepared us for. But what would the best-case scenario actually look like? AI, robotics, medicine, energy, and space technology are all accelerating at a speed that makes 25 years feel like an incredibly long time. If even a fraction of today's breakthroughs compound, the world of 2050 could look completely different from the one we live in today. Imagine technology handling most repetitive work, robots taking care of dangerous physical jobs, AI helping us cure diseases much earlier, clean energy becoming abundant, and humans having more time to create, explore, learn, spend time with family, and maybe even build permanent civilizations beyond Earth. Aze Alter gives us a beautiful glimpse of that possibility in this short film generated entirely with AI. Of course, a perfect world probably doesn't exist. Technology will create new problems alongside the ones it solves. But I hope we spend as much time imagining what we want to build as we do worrying about everything that could go wrong. 2050 is only 24 years away. I wonder how much of this will actually feel normal by then. Well, I hope this post survives until then. If you're reading this in 2050, please leave a comment and tell us how right/wrong we were...
