The #Yankees have made A LOT of mistakes since the ALDS began. They also haven't hit the ball (outside of Ben Rice). That shouldn't be overlooked amid all the gaffes.

Down 2-0 in the ALDS and fresh off their ugliest game of the year, the #Yankees know they need to "lock it in" if they want to be the rare team to overcome such a deficit. "It’s on us to find our way out of it," said Ben Rice, but the results against the #Rays haven't inspired much confidence.

Sloppy Yankees know they must ‘lock it in’ with season in jeopardy: ‘It’s gut-check time’

It's a bit of a moot point now, but wrote here that the #Yankees had a lot of internal debate about whether Gerrit Cole or Carlos Rodón should get Game 3 of the Wild Card, and why they might want to realign for Game 1 of the ALDS. Ultimately, they stuck with Cole.

Cam Schlittler is wrong when he says he's no ace. Or too modest. Or too deferential. Whatever the reason, evidence to the contrary keeps mounting. Game 1 of the Wild Card Series, in which the #Yankees' young star dismantled the #RedSox, served as further proof. "If anybody's an ace, he's an ace."
