As we journey back to Florida and between Garfield strips, started this drawing of Michael T. Gilbert's Mr. Monster character for fun. I am inking it traditionally and may color digitally. #comics, #comicart, #superhero, #humor, #drawing

The Superman/Spider-Man team-up came out recently and also with a blank cover, I couldn't resist. Copic and Tombow markers. My students told me that Walmart now sells Tombow markers and they were correct! #garfield, #spiderman, #marvel, #dccomics, #Nickelodeon, #comicstrips, #comicbooks

Also purchased this Invincible blank cover from Bat City Professionals in Bradenton, FL. The thing I noticed about this series is the abundant use of ...red! I tried to handle that color in a family-friendly way. Copic and Tombow markers. Thanks! #invincible, #garfield, #image, #comics, #humor

I knew I wanted to do Invincible at some point and when I saw this blank cover at Bat City Professionals, I had to grab it. Btw a reminder that we will be at Bat City for Free Comic Book Day on May the 2nd. There will also be a free Garfield comic available from BOOM Studios for the event!

This blank cover presented a lot of challenges. The Deathlok character pointing a gun was a part of the logo at the top, so I had to disguise that. I couldn't think of a specific character to make Odie, so I just went with an android-type.

Back to a more standard Garfield on this one. I probably should have looked at the interior more carefully as there is a lot of red ink used...lol. But the Garfield comic is published under the BOOM Studios Kaboom imprint, so it feels right!

This is the last blank Ninja Turtle cover that I have for now, so I decided to do an homage to the iconic Amazing Fantasy #15 by the legendary Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko that introduced Spider-Man. Thanks!

Time to give some love to Spider-Verse's Spider-Ham. And yes, that is Orson of Garfield's Friends (U.S. Acres) making a cameo. This wraparound cover was done in Copic markers.

Another one finished. I had a lot of fun with this one. I became a fan of Space Ghost back with his cartoon in the 60's... yeah, I know how long ago that was, lol.

My first blank cover art of 2026. I bought the original comic off the stands back in '71. I loved the Neal Adams cover, so I had to pay homage to it. With this being a wraparound blank, I had to add a bleached-blond Jon Arbuckle as Green Arrow.

Just finished this wraparound blank cover. This was done for a customer at West Orange Comics and Video Games for Free Comic Book Day back in May (Hi, Scott and Joe). But due to the eye surgery in June, this got pushed back. Copic markers and Tombow brush pen.
