I said to a student today "I think the principal was talking about me today when he was talking about task initiation, after all, you now I get distracted when we start talking before class starts." He responded, "yes, but you are connecting with us."

As an educator, I have spent decades dealing with delusional individuals (leaders, students, colleagues, myself).

Variability is reality in living systems. Attempts to standardize fail.

Yeah, don't tell me how wonderful your system is. I've been using IT a long time and I know poor design and implementation when I see it.

If your blog/ article/ site is full of advertisements, even if you are credible in other measures, I assume the content is secondary to your purpose, so I'm not reading it.

Technology causes problems as well as solves problems. Nobody has figured out a way to ensure that, as of tomorrow, technology won't create problems. Technology simply means increased power, which is why we have the global problems we face today. - Jared Diamond

Maybe it's time we go back to just one reality... you know the one grounded in things we actually observe rather than some other version that we really want to be true.

I reported several situations to school leaders over my career. Hostile work environments. Teachers repeatedly using derogatory terms towards students. Bullying. Misuse of technology. All were “investigated,” no evidence was ever found for any. Interesting how that happens.
