I was standing in the middle of the road in front of my house, trying to take a photo of the lunar eclipse, with my camera on a tripod and a 50mm lens attached to my Nikon camera, when a car came around the corner, and I quickly picked up my camera during the 2-second exposure. I tried a few other pictures from my backyard, but this accidental picture was the most interesting.

I found this curious pattern of rocks in the sand at low tide. I don’t know if someone arranged them like this or if it's something that is naturally occurring. It appears to be small rocks sunk in the sand.

Brill Electric Buses, September 2002. Sandon, British Columbia, Canada. I made these photos with a medium-format film camera, a Fuji 6x9 with a fixed 90mm ƒ3.5 lens. I had Kodak Tri-X in the camera. I’m not sure how the buses arrived in Sandon in the Kootenays, but there they were, and I thought they were interesting to photograph, especially in black and white. I’m not sure if they are still there or what condition they are in today, as these photos were made 24 years ago.

The MV Pentowna was launched in 1926 and was the last vessel to carry passengers between Penticton and Kelowna on Okanagan Lake. In 1937, it was converted into a Canadian National Railway freight and cargo tugboat. It was retired from service in 1973 and was part of the breakwater in Peachland until 1994, when it was moved into storage near Michaelbrook Ranch Golf Course during a massive overland transport operation, which I photographed for the Kelowna Daily Courier.
