I went to see WR Mysteries of the Organism on my 21st birthday after a day of drinking vodka. Needless to say, an 11pm showing was not my idea. However, friend had rigged himself an orgone energy belt to wear. It looked like a bunch of Brillo pads in gaffa tape, and he was wide awake throughout.

We had to have a couple of assemblies outside as the hall was being refurbished. One day was a cold foggy day, and the headmaster said "try not to breathe too much, as you'll add to the fog". I assume it was a joke, but within two minutes a kid had fainted from trying to hold his breath.

You forget how precious (for want of a better word) the Disney catalogue used to be. The films would regularly get re-released to the cinemas every so often and that was the only way you could ever see them, bar clips presented by Leslie Crowther on a Bank Holiday.

Very strange the picks for Red. Brother had those, sister had Revolver (and Rubber Soul) though, so it was strange even back in 1974 or whatever it was. The 2023 version of Red added five tracks in a strange order.

I was walking past the Yorkshire TV studios in Leeds aged about 20, An old bloke walked up to me, big smile, and said "It's YOU isn't it?!?, wait till I tell the wife!!!" and pointed at the TV studios. Reader, it was not me, and to this day I have no idea who he thought I was.
