It's my birthdaaaaay!🎊 As an artist, it's often difficult to acknowledge how much I work and how much I improve, so today I want to be nicer to myself and share some of my favourite pieces I made since my last bday.💙 If you'd like to share, it would be a lovely gift!🙏✨

I sadly never got to play it with anyone. I loved how there's so much to unlock for the multiplayer through exploration in the single player mode. Pretty much every enemy and character was playable, including the big cyborg bugs.

Jet Force Gemini was one of those games I always wanted to play as a kid but didn't know how to get my hands on it. No idea what kind of game it was. Just looked cool

I found a $20 bill on the ground when I was a kid, and used it to buy a pre-owned copy. Awesome sci-fi third person shooter with great atmosphere and exploration. The only bad thing I can say is that the final level is locked behind an infuriating side-quest for no good reason.

Take a 5 minute "bathroom break" that lasts 15 minutes, giving time for the players to decompress while I review the material and plan a way to salvage the story.

Following local businesses and a Pathfinder group is the only reason I still use it, and it sucks for the Pathfinder group because it keeps reordering posts based on "relevance" instead of most recent posts.

"Get ready to play fox paper scissors" I don't know why, but some of the captions for this guide on Yuel from Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising crack me up.
Screenshots of a fighting game character's super move with the captions:
Make your opponent regret jumping
Call in the wife

The captions and screenshots allude to Yuel's Super Skybound Art, which creates a vortex that gently pulls enemies and is difficult to defend against while airborne. Pulling the opponent into the attack triggers a short animation where Yuel summons her friend to assist her in a finishing blow.A screenshot of a fighting game character with the caption "Get ready to play fox paper scissors".

This alludes to the character's "Third Dance" stance, which restricts the character's mobility, offensive, and defensive options in exchange for powerful counters and fast attacks that cause chip damage.

Oh, FMA is definitely good! It just plucked my heartstrings a little too hard and scarred me for life! I might give Brotherhood a shot sometime. A friend and I recently had a debate on who was the worse dad: Tucker or MCU Thanos.

The developers heavily based the MMORPG off of PSO, FFXI, and Ultima Online, and it definitely shows. .hack//SIGN has awesome set pieces, and I always adored its consistent theme of something beautiful and pure being corrupted like a computer program being hacked or infected by a virus.

1. Dragon Ball + Z is a beautiful mess of iconic characters and stories. A unique product of one man's creative vision, inspired by a mixture of both Western and Eastern cultures. Proof that all you need is love and vision to inspire and touch people's lives.

2. Outlaw Star is easily my favorite anime, despite all its flaws. It hits a goldilocks zone for what I love in science fantasy, which becomes a vehicle for fun awesome things, such as space catgirls, wrestling starships, and cyborg ninja pirates. It has heart but never takes itself too seriously.

3. The Big O is one of the few giant robot animes I absolutely adored. Distinct art style, amazing atmosphere, believable robot fights, and great characters (especially Dorothy and Norman). It's a source of so much inspiration that I struggle to point at what particular things influenced me.

4. YuYu Hakusho feels like quintessential shonen anime before Naruto exploded into the scene. Despite not really liking most of its characters, I enjoyed it until the tournament arc.

5. .Hack//SIGN is a beautiful mixed bag of brilliant and baffling creative decisions, and it has an amazing atmosphere juxaposing S&S fantasy with science fiction. It became the catalyst for what would be my vScape science fiction setting.

6. Death Note is an unconventionally great example of storytelling using a hard magic system. It also taught me that you can make *anything* a dramatic, engaging story if you frame it correctly, even if it's as mundane as a character writing in a notebook or eating a potato chip.

8. I loved Bleach up until the Soul Society arc. It inspired an idea---of which I'm uncharacteristically proud of---that ultimately formed into the foundation of the Rae Sagas setting. 7. I can't call myself a fan of Inuyasha, but it really cemented my love for feudal Japanese culture and fantasy.

9. Unpopular opinion: I did not like FMA. It's a great anime for sure, but tone is all over the place. That one infamous episode broke me and gave me a tendency to make adorable characters with tragic backstories. FMA did really spark my love for hard magic systems.

For many of these anime, I did not necessarily like them or thought they were good, but they all had an effect on my tastes and creative vision.

Art elitism seems to consist of claiming to have an expansive, unbridled vision of art while also having a narrow-minded view on what is and isn't art.

Cannot forget Kageko! I also commissioned @crybringer.bsky.social to do this adorable "spooky" image of Kageko, a reality-warping shadow fox nogitsune. I'll probably build her as a seneschal witch in #Pathfinder2e #ocart #oc #ttrpg

I usually think of the sheep from Animal Farm. Victims of exploitation who are manipulated into propagating lies or oversimplified truths without thinking critically about what they're saying. Propaganda puppets deceived by the wolf into believing they're non-conformist.

The artist really brought out her personality! Unlike Sayuki, Sumiko is not one to sugarcoat the fact that Pathfinder agents often have to kill and do ethically questionable stuff to get the job done.

It makes sense, especially when most stories have a cycle of mixed triumphs and failures that escalate towards the climax.

That is cool! I know many Powered by the Apocalypse games give you XP for failures. I'm considering this for my ttrpg, especially since permanent character death is normally player decided. Unlike PF or D&D, the game doesn't end when there's a party wipe.
